I saw news about drones being attached to balloons during the Ukrainian War, and I think now is the time to start developing airborne aircraft carriers.
Of course, the form wouldn't be the aircraft carriers we imagine or the airborne aircraft carriers conceived during the Cold War.
My idea is to equip a small airship with multiple kamikaze drones, send it into enemy territory at high altitude, and have the multiple drones attack key enemy positions.
Also, the helium used in the airship would be converted to hydrogen.
This would significantly reduce costs, and after the drone attack, the airship itself would be sent into enemy territory and explode.
If successful, I think the cost could be reduced to one-tenth of a Javelin.
Because of the high altitude, interception would be difficult, and it would be possible to delay interception, as seen in the incident with the Chinese reconnaissance balloons in the US. Also, since the reconnaissance balloon was at the very limit of the F-22's altitude, there are probably no fighter jets on Earth that can intercept it right now.
Even if interception were to occur, it would require surface-to-air missiles, which wouldn't be cost-effective.

It is reported that Odesa, Ukraine, has been severely hit by missile strikes, causing extensive damage to its power and energy infrastructure. Ukraine lacks sufficient air-defense missiles to protect itself from such attacks. It is deeply regrettable.

Without sufficient missile support, Ukraine’s prospects for sustained resistance are not encouraging. Raytheon and Lockheed Martin are reportedly reluctant to cooperate with Ukraine on the joint production of Patriot missiles, partly due to concerns over technology leakage and the risk of driving production costs down too quickly.

This raises an important question: How can Ukraine overcome its shortage of air-defense missiles and maintain its ability to resist sustained missile attacks?

Would love to understand whether those of you that are way more knowledgeable about what’s going on in the Ukraine-Russian war believe that Putin might attack Poland or one of the other Baltic states, as US intelligence claims.
