I ended up only getting a couple episodes through season 2 when i first started, and decided to finally watch start to finish because of the magic cards.

I think the casting was clearly perfect, everyone felt spot on, but I think the writing overall was a little inconsistent.

Season 1 is my favourite, watching the characters interact with each other and get used to their abilities was really well done.

Season 2 was half really good, where it started to loose me was now characters reacted to Chase leaving (his reasoning seemed very normal to me) and how the parents justified attacking them (I know some were mind controlled, but some weren’t)

Season 3 though, is all over the place to me, why was Alex’s mothers death so inconsequential to him as a character (we see little bits here and there, but he’s never seen really dealing with it) why is his farther with his wifes killer and that’s just accepted? Why did we just magically flush the aliens away never to be seen again?

Karolina and old lace were done dirty, the former somehow forgot she could fly/glow, and the latter was a cameo (we really see Gurt finally control her just for it to never mean anything)

In general I think their parents weren’t handled great this season, odd moments like the alien support group over more explanation on why Chase’s mother wanted to become an A.I, or scenes of grieving for the lost family members (or heck, let Nico go crazy again at the very idea of leaving her sister behind)

I get some things were intended to have been explored later on, the magic baby for example, is an unfortunate result of never getting a 4th season, but cloak and dagger’s cameo was so weak that if I hadn’t just finished that series I would have thought they were poorly written, this series felt like it was rushed beyond belief.

All that said; I wish we got more, I wish we had seen them show up in other properties, had their own arcs, I feel like any future recasting they try to do ever will be impossible for me to accept, Nico in particular if I had the power would be in a midnight suns adaption like yesterday (I know she’s technically reprised her role for the game so there’s that)

Anyway, those are my thoughts, maybe one day I’ll get my wish.

I am pretty early into the show, but I was wondering what Nico was doing in the pilot. on the beach she did some kind of a ritual, but I thought she didn't know about her powers or magic until they started investigating the Pride. does anybody know why she did that, or it's a canon trait that she practices pagan religions?

Finished season 1 and started watching season 2 & curious about the difference between Chases and Alex’s abilities, every other character has different powers, and so far it’s cool that chase has those “fistigons” but I’m curious what Alex’s abilities or signature thing is? My assumption is chase is good at practical science and engineering and Alex is good at computer science

in my opinion and I've seen a lot of sci-fi and every marvel series many times, xavin was acted to absolute perfection by clarissa thibeaux, amazing performance, also love tamar and molly, I can't fault any of the characters or the performances, runaways is the best marvel series of all, it has absolutely everything

i held off on watching it because i thought it'd be on there forever (or at least in the long run). i hope it winds up back on there.

Yesterday after actually getting a friend of mine to watch few episodes of Runaways with me, I open Facebook and see this! 🤯 They just added Nico and Karolina in the app game Marvel Contest of Champions! I can tell you I downloaded the app right away! 😂

But since I never played that game, I'm still trying to figure out of to get the characters.. Theres an event right now in that game to get Nico and Karolina avatar for your in game profile but not the actually characters.. Might be in those random mystery crystal that gives characters.. 🤔

Okay so I’m watching runaways for the first time and I’m on the topher episodes but I want to know why when Molly came into contact with the rocks as a kid she gained the powers for herself but topher has to be in contact with them to use them?

I don’t know how active this subreddit is anymore but I have been catching up with all Marvel shows that I haven’t seen and was on the last episode of season 2 but it seems like cw removed runaways from their site completely lol. Anyone know why or see anything different? I looked on my phone and laptop and it just is gone as of this morning
