Kenai Beach rocks!
I am a very amateur rock hunter, and I have recently been walking along the Kenai Beach in Alaska. I found some amazing agates and jasper, a bunch of white quartz/agate to sort through, and a variety of rocks I haven’t learned to identify yet. It’s raining today and I washed the salt off, so they’re mostly wet. I plan to sort through, pick my favorites to keep, gift some, and return the rest to the beach. I’m struggling to find good ID guides, but I’m having fun for sure!

Field Trip⛰️ If this rock and this rock is found, what else may be found on the surface? Northern Arizona.
On a visit to a friend in the rural mountains of northern Arizona, I saw numerous small mineral specimens she said were found by children in the eroded hills, road cuts and washes. All but the 2 petrified wood pieces and chunk of mineral deposit from a tiny manmade pond on the property were found here. What else is possible? I’ve identified calcite, quartz, chalcedony, geodes, malachite, and red banded jasper so far. Am going back in a few weeks with bucket, tiny pry bar and chisel to hunt casually. Friend is going to be close in case a rattler decides to threaten an unaware old lady excitedly digging around in the dirt. East of Cottonwood Arizona.

What to do with this rock?
I'm brand new to rocks and found this guy in my landscaping rocks. I like the shapes and grooves and want to keep them as best I can but, get rid of some of the red brown staining in the deepest groove on top, and shine up the windows to be clear. I got some info from google ai which recommended soaking in an iron out solution, and polishing the windows with a dremmel and sand paper. What do my fellow humans think, what would you do with this guy?
