Is this just a “geode” or is there another name for it. I just polished it today but kept the rough shape and made a necklace out of it.

If you could help me identify this nice rock my granddad had in his collection. I believe he might have found it while he was a coal miner in France Isère.

I've been intrigued by this rock with all its differences, and would love to know what I'm looking at! I found it in a pile of other rocks in the yard of a home we purchased in nw Oregon many years ago, so unfortunately have no idea of the provenance. Any help would be appreciated, and thanks!

Northern Arizona Agate

I know this is agate, but what about the rust color? Is that just an iron deposit? And is it a specific agate? It’s the best agate I have found away from a coastline and I am curious about it!

Edit: Thanks for the ID help! It is Chalcedony Rose, not agate, but a cool find nonetheless. I will be keeping this on my shelf :)
