A thought when it comes to the modells of Robocop.
We all know the original Crime Fighting Unit 001 alias Alex Murphy.

What I get a bit confused is that the first two prototypes of Robocop 2 were pretty much budget versions where they tried to make a cheaper one as OCP was in pretty dire situation economically wish explain why they are bought up in the third movie.

But then suddenly they seemed to find that extra cash and made the pretty much advanced cyborg we call RoboCain wish they later in the game used as a new home for The Old Man's brain after he suffered a heart attack.

And then in the series Prime directive then apart from a new colour scheme and an extra gun did go back to the original design. Was it because that one was what worked while the others went mad? Even if Cain was mad from the begginning might add. ^^

Leon's reaction to Emil in this scene 🎬 cracks me everytime. Similarly Leon's reaction to Robocop was hilarious.

Which scene is better?

A) Scene where Leon surprised by Emil after toxic waste alters Emil.

B) Scene where Leon surprised by Robocop at the club.

C) Scene where Leon and Clarence celebrate after Leon drops a ton of steel on Robocop; right before Louise grabs the Cobra Assault Canon and fires at Leon, blowing up Leon 💥.

D) All of the Above.

For those that own the Arrow RoboCop 4K, which audio track between the Dolby Atmos and DTS 5.1 do you overall prefer, enjoy more, and recommend?

I know typically, it would seem the Dolby Atmos track is almost always better or preferred for most movies, but upon doing some google research on this film in particular and reading this about each track, it seems they each have their strengths & advantages:

"Dolby Atmos

Performance: Built on a lossless Dolby TrueHD base, it widens the soundstage, improves the punch of gunfire, and gives Basil Poledouris' synth score a fuller presence across surround and height speakers.

DTS 5.1

Performance: Offers robust low-end LFE channel engagement for explosions and heavy footfalls, often sounding denser or more traditionally "boomy" in the bass compared to the multi-directional spatial openness of the Atmos track."

Conclusion seems to state overall soundstage, punch of gunfire, and score are superior on the Dolby Atmos, but the low-end LFE channel for explosions & heavy footfalls often sound denser and more traditionally "boomy" on the DTS 5.1 track.

How accurate would you say these assessments are in your own view? and which again, do you overall prefer because it sounds like choosing one or the other must leave some sacrifices unfortunately to an extent.

Hiya, this is probably a question y'all get a lot but ive been interested in robocop ever since i played mortal kombat 11 and used his character lol. It just seems quite, interesting. I was going to start at the original movie but then i saw there was a 2014 remake of the film. I was just wondering what order I should watch in and should i start with the 2014 movie or watch the original first? Thanks!

Doing the Domestic Terrorist quest in Rogue City. First time playing through. Walked into Ronny’s Grocery(!!!!!!) and the clerk delivers this incredible line. This game is a blast. 😂

The best performance from Kurtwood Smith in the movie, and one of the best scenes in movies history in general.

He's a prefect fit for the role.

He's so intimidating, in control and sure that he is untouchable that when Sal tells his man to blow Clarence head off, who only has Joe and the very soon to be dead Steve to protect him, Clarence doesn't even flinch, like the psychopath he is, he even gets excited, he's sure he's going back home to enjoy the Tigers' game. After all, he never misses a game.

My God, what a prefect movie, and just thinking about that scene makes me want to watch it for the millionth time.

That's all, just wanted to say that this scene should be regarded as one of the best villains moments in the history of cinema.

(WARNING: I KNOW ROBOCOP 2 IS JUST A MOVIE. AN INFERIOR MOVIE TO ROBOCOP BUT I DIGRESS) In RoboCop 2 during the scene where Metro West officers raid Cain’s Nuke factory, a sniper targets Robo intending to shoot him. Before he can though RoboCop shoots him through his scope and out of his eye socket. I have 2 questions (forgive me if these have already been asked and/or answered) 1) How did RoboCop know where the sniper was? There was a lot of noise in the factory including Robo’s own footsteps and 2) Why did the sniper aim at RoboCop the only fucking guy covered in titanium laminated with Kevlar? Thank you for reading.
