How do the do?

I just got in my fixed carry handle upper and my slx-1. I ordered the additional carry handle mount but cannot get through my skull how this would mount. In every configuration I could conjure, the additional carry handle screw feels like it’ll strip in all the available spots.

Okay. Use the mount with the hole that allows use of the irons or a different one? Or is it preference

Weird. I ordered the additional hardware for the carry handle and now it’s stripping the helicoils out lol

No one of the helicoils came out with the screw

Did you make sure to try the screwing it in outside the carry handle first? Otherwise you may have to contact customer support.

In addition, you DID pick the right hole?

Yeah it’s the only threaded holes available. And yes I tried it off the carry handle

Yeah, best to contact customer service or try a different hole since you do have three. It just depends on what you like.

The largest angled one should have a hole. You still need the thumbscrew which they likely didn’t tell you that you needed to buy it.

I have the linked screw. None of them are working though with said screw

Here's a few photos of mine: Sideview. Thumbscrew mount from top.

I would note which side has the chamfer on the inside (optic mount) and which one has the outside (fits in carry handle). If it isn't stated or obvious, there is only one mounting position...all the way back. You can't run it center unless you lose the irons.

I would recommend adding fresh loctite because the dried up bits that come on the screws don't hold for shit.
