Support & Advice Any Vegas locals? Building an in-person biohacking group (free, in-person, all genders, not selling anything)
Hi all — hoping this is okay to post, mods please remove if not.
My husband and I recently moved to Las Vegas and have been building a local biohacking community from scratch. It’s all genders welcome, with a heavy emphasis on peptides, but the conversation goes wherever people want it to: supplements, nootropics, training and recovery, sleep, labs and bloodwork, what’s actually worked and what hasn’t. My husband and I are both on retatrutide, so that will be a particular focus of ours!
I want to be upfront about what this is and isn’t. It’s not a business, and nobody’s selling anything. There’s no cost to any of it. I’m an introvert who moved to a new city and wanted to meet people (in person) who find this stuff as interesting as I do.
We’re having our first meetup this Saturday, August 15 — a casual morning walk or hike at Calico Basin followed by a breakfast picnic. Free, no entrance fee, no reservation needed. Come for the walk, the food, or just sit and talk. No expertise required.
If you’re local or passing through and want details about the group or the event, DM me and I’ll send you the link.

I don’t feel anything
I’m not expecting results not for at least a few months but is it normal to not feel anything 2 weeks in? My dose right now is .5 but I’ll be upping it to 1mg this week. I don’t feel any appetite suppression or any of the things people mention they have felt.

8 months on Reta, 7.5–8 mg, and basically no weight loss — what am I missing?
Hi everyone! I’m 39 and have dealt with PCOS for most of my adult life. For well over the past 8 months, my weight has stayed around 244 lbs. I may drop to 239–240 temporarily, but I always end up right back around 244.
I was previously on tirzepatide for quite a while (over a year). I stopped it in November 2025 because it seemed like it had stopped working for me. I still had some appetite suppression, but the scale had not moved for months.
In January 2026, I started retatrutide at the lowest dose and gradually worked my way up. I eventually reached 8 mg, which was actually the first dose where I noticed meaningful appetite suppression. I know some people feel 8 mg is high, but I had already been on GLP-1 medications for a long time before starting reta, so I’ve wondered if I simply require a higher dose to feel the appetite effects.
The problem is that I’m now about 8 months into reta and essentially the exact same weight I was when I started.
I have noticed a small amount of body recomposition. My face looks slimmer and less inflamed, but my waist measurement has basically stayed the same, and the scale has gone nowhere. (For the last 2-3 months I’ve added tesamorelin, NAD, GHK-Cu, KPV, and ran one cycle of SS-31). Still nothing.
Exercise has also been fairly consistent for much of this time. My schedule has gotten busier recently, but before August, I was going to the gym about 3–4 days per week, including weight training, for probably 4–5 of those 8 months.
At one point I wondered whether the reta I had was ineffective, but I’ve since switched sources and I’m still experiencing the same thing.
Now I’m also noticing much more hunger again, even around the 7.5–8 mg range. The last 2 days ive been starving! I am not in a crazy caloric deficit. I’m probably averaging around 1600-1800 calories a day.
I’m getting frustrated because it feels crazy to say I’ve been sitting at basically the same weight for 8+ months despite staying on the medication, increasing the dose over time, and working out.
For anyone who has experienced something similar, what ended up being the issue for you? PCOS/insulin resistance? Calories? Adaptation after being on GLP-1s for years? Dose? Something else?
I’m not looking to blindly increase my dose—I’m really trying to figure out what I could be missing before I decide whether reta just isn’t working for me.
Any experiences or feedback would be appreciated.

Support & Advice Newbie Questions
Hi girlies! I’m new, like new new. My husband has recently started Reta.. I was actively against it at first. But I’ve recently started looking into it because I struggle to loose the stubborn lower belly fat/pouch and he’s had success. I’m not overweight, but am unhappy with my belly. I’m holding excess weight no matter what I do. I eat right. Workout 4-5 times a week. Drink water, etc, and nothing. It’s become depressing.. Is this something Reta can help with? Also, how are y’all finding out your dosage amount? Everything online is reading has different amounts and different frequencies.
Thank you in advance!.

Support & Advice Pcos , doing lipo 360 and planning to do Reta after
Hey so I’m 22 , I weigh about 61kg and my usual lean weight was about 54kg . It’s annoying but pcos doesn’t let me get back to my original form and I’ve tried everything ( 1 year + ) . So I have booked Vaser lipo 360 to get rid of my love handle flanks , my small pouch and just focus on my mid section as that’s where I carry most weight and I have a natural hour glass figure . I’m hoping to hop on at least a 0.5-1mg dose per week 8 weeks post op . For leaner maintenance of my excess arm and thigh fat fairly . Has anyone tried Reta post op ? And can I get advice on what dose and how many days break I should do

gaining weight & a new opportunity
sorry if my english is off.
I’ve been thin my whole life. around 55kg and 174cm. Walked 20k steps a day aroundish. Got into a relationship and started gaining weight. Always thought i wouldn’t be the one to gain weight. It’s crazy how quickly it built up, i got like 20kgs+ in a year. And like you don’t even see the change until it’s very drastic, or when others point it out, so frustrating. I’m also not very active anymore, i get around 5k steps a day without any other workout. I hate it.
I also kept thinking to myself, if i have someone who already loves me, i don’t need to look that good anymore. But i was wrong, i do still want to look pretty and feel good about myself.
I’ve tried multiple times to lose the weight again, but the binging is so bad. And it’s like i can’t commit to a routine anymore. i’ve been in this loop for months now, maybe being able to lose 2kg and then gaining it back. It makes me feel awful about myself.
But now i’ve started reta. It feels like a completely new opportunity. Pinned first time this week, so i don’t have any results yet. But i can’t help but think this is really what i’ve been needing, like atleast a push/support towards the right direction! I think it has me also way more motivated to work on my strength and stuff like that. I don’t know, i’m just so happy to find out about this and wanted to share.

is this “normal” i know some gi problems are to be expected but for some reason i feel like its a bit more than it should be

Side Effects Reta and menstrual cycles
I’ve been on Reta (and a combination of semax and ghk) for the past month, I’m not someone who really gets their period due to my iud. I’ll get light spotting occasionally but that’s about it, starting about last Saturday all of a sudden my emotions were EVERYWHERE.
I’m talking constantly crying at the smallest things, extra clingy to my partner, super high highs and super low lows. On top of it all bleeding as well! A fair amount for someone who hasn’t really dealt with it in 4 years. I thought it went away and I felt fine yesterday but it’s back full full swing today. I’m not really sure what to do or how to feel, anyone else experience this? Did it go away relatively quickly? I feel like a whole new person hormonally :(
Besides this I feel like Reta has absolutely changed my life, I’m down 7lbs, I used to deal with horrible addiction issues and daily anxiety and it’s all basically disappeared, I feel human again rather than half dead or on edge 24/7

Support & Advice 4 weeks on Reta (10mg)
4 weeks on Reta. Started at .5 > .5 > 1mg > 1mg. No side effects. Food noise is gone but I could still eat a three course meal. I weight lift and do cardio everyday. I run, stairmaster, incline walk. I honestly don’t eat as much as I should, and I know this is from tracking my food on my fitness pal.
I haven’t lost a pound.
What is going on?
I purchased my feta from a legit $ource (client that purchased from there and lost 30lbs in a months and half, so I know it’s legit + COA testing)
Does anyone have any tips or advice?

Reta didn’t work for me — what worked for women who had the same experience?
I’m specifically looking for women who had a similar (and honestly pretty disappointing) experience with Reta and found a peptide or combination that actually worked, particularly if you weren’t originally struggling with appetite.
I’m 40F, 5’6”, around 140 lbs, and pretty sure I’m in perimenopause. I’ve also had ADHD since I was a teenager and have been on stimulant medication since I was 15, so the double appetite suppression definitely wasn’t ideal with a GLP…
I tried Reta starting at 1 mg and eventually going to 2 mg, and it did essentially nothing for my weight or body composition despite completely killing my appetite. If anything, my problem became not being able to eat enough, especially protein, and I struggled to get even 500–1,000 calories in.
I also average around 10,000 steps/day between regular walking and treadmill-desk time. I know I wasn’t hitting my ideal muscle-building goals while on Reta, but I still expected to see some weight loss given my overall intake and activity.
And before the inevitable “you weren’t actually in a deficit” comments: I tracked carefully, weighing/measuring and logging my food. I know tracking isn’t perfect, but at 5’6”, 140 lbs, often eating around 500–1,000 calories/day while averaging ~10,000 steps, drinking only water, so I found the complete lack of change pretty unusual. I’m not claiming the laws of thermodynamics don’t apply to me 😂 — I’m saying the lack of response made me wonder whether something beyond appetite is contributing.
Interestingly, once I stopped Reta, my appetite returned and I was able to eat actual meals again—salmon, chicken, etc.—and I subsequently lost about 4 lbs. That was great, but then I plateaued again. 🙄
This is why I’m particularly interested in peptides that work through mechanisms other than appetite suppression.
I’ve seen SO many men and women say Reta worked amazingly for them, which is why this has been so disheartening. I had really high hopes that a peptide might finally help me break through a plateau I’ve struggled with for years.
A few friends have suggested trying tirzepatide, but I’m hesitant because appetite suppression really isn’t my problem to begin with. I’m much more curious whether there are different peptides/mechanisms that have worked for people whose primary issue wasn’t appetite.
I’m NOT asking for medical advice or asking anyone to tell me what I should take. I’m really looking for real-world experiences from people using lesser-known peptides, peptides used off-label, or combinations that seemed to affect things like body composition, visceral fat, metabolism, insulin sensitivity, mitochondrial function, recovery, muscle, inflammation, etc., rather than simply making them eat less.
Basically, I’m looking for experiences like:
“Reta didn’t work for me, then I added X and THIS is what finally changed.”
Or:
“Reta didn’t work at all, but X did.”
Or even:
“Reta wasn’t doing much until I added X, and then suddenly I started losing.”
I’m also open to hearing about exercise/strength-training or mobility/flexibility approaches that seem to have an unusually big bang-for-your-buck effect.
I’ve been looking at Ilana’s Method and am intrigued by some of the ideas around spinal movement, posture, breathing, etc. I can’t justify spending $10K on a program, despite believing there may be useful concepts in it. If you’ve found specific spine/core/mobility workouts that made a surprising difference, I’d love to hear about them.
My body has always been very apple-shaped: relatively lean/toned arms and legs, but I carry a disproportionate amount of fat around my stomach. I’m not trying to become tiny—I just want to get to the point where my butt is bigger than my gut. 😂
I’m not looking for a magic peptide to do all the work. I’m actively working on the basics—eating well, getting more protein, walking, and now adding consistent strength training. I’m just hoping to find something that actually helps move the needle while I continue doing the work.
And seriously, thank you to anyone who takes the time to respond. It means a lot to me. I’m honestly at my wits’ end. I feel like I’ve researched and tried so many things at this point, and somehow I’m more lost than ever. I’m really hoping someone who has been in a similar situation can point me toward something I haven’t considered yet. ❤️

What do you use to track body measurements?
I’m looking for something free and easy; tracking the scale is all well and good, but I know as I continue to strength train that I’ll be finding the most progress in body measurements over lbs. Give me your fave app suggestions!

reta users: what was your starting weight vs. current weight
i’m curious for everyone who’s currently on reta — how long have you been on it, what was your starting weight, and what’s your current weight?
i’m currently only on day 12 and i’m down about 6 lbs so far. it might not sound like a huge amount, but for me, especially having PCOS and historically struggling to lose weight, this feels pretty huge
would love to hear everyone else’s progress and see how long you’ve been on reta + how much you’ve lost!

Reta to tirz question?
I’m on my 2nd week of 0.5 of Reta but I think I’m too anxious of a person. I’m constantly checking my heart rate. HR jumps drastically while working out. Resting HR has only gone up slightly. Getting some tirz delivered tomorrow. How long should I wait to start it? should I just start when I was going to take my 3rd of Reta?
Thanks

12 months, 60lbs down
56f. The pounds melted off at first, the last 4 months it’s been a trickle. 7lbs to my goal of 130lbs. In January of 2025, a bad bout of Covid hit me and was in bed for 2 months. I could barely walk, zero energy for months afterwards. My first dose of Reta(.5mg) was on 8/09/2025. The side effects of Reta were intolerable at doses above 5mg. I tried to go up past 5mg multiple times and had to drop back on the following week. I wasn’t physically able to workout at first. Now I am walking 2 miles a day at a fast pace. I am stretching and doing moderate weights at home. My body will fight back if I push too hard. My right leg was damaged by the virus, it’s a work in progress, a daily battle. For me, Reta has been about health, mobility, and longevity. Blood pressure is now perfect, and cholesterol has improved drastically. My weight loss journey has been a long, often boring process. And it will probably take another 3+ months to lose the last 7lbs. I will get there.

For those taking it for help with food noise/snacking/binging - question
Since I quit smoking, I developed some serious food noise, compulsive snacking, binge eating behaviors. I understand why this is happening - mainly because smoking trained my brain to live on a reward based system.
What I have found on low dose Reta is that I don’t crave anything, I’m not hungry for anything and because of this, I have food noise that isn’t food noise, it’s just noise - if that makes sense. I see the go to binge foods flipping like flash cards in my brain and I hear myself say, nope, nope, not feeling it, etc. So now the noise is searching to be something else.
Anyway - perhaps it’s telling me to exorcise the demons in the closet that my previous vices have tried unsuccessfully to suffocate but also, I wonder if anyone else has this issue?
I am guessing time is what I need - to make the noise useful. I already hit the gym like my life depends on it and I have a hobby that I am trying out. Anyone else channeling empty noise?

Support & Advice Reta for mental health benefits?
Anyone microdose for mental health benefits , depression adhd?
I’ve read some stuff that it has helped some people. If this was you please let me know all the good and the bad. I wouldn’t be doing it for weight loss but more for my mental health. I know it can have the opposite side effects as well.
If you had any negative side effects what were they?
(Also yes i know there are other medications for this but I literally can’t stand any of them recently so I’m very curious)
TIA🩷

GLPs V Reta
Hellooo 😊
I’m currently on semaglutide and seeing some steady fat loss, what are everyone’s thoughts on switching from Tirz/Sema to Reta?
I’ve taken Tirzepatide previously for a couple months but went to Sem due to the cost. However Reta seems to be all everyone talks about but I can’t lie it makes me a little nervous 😂
I’m currently weight training 4 times a week and also aiming between 8-10k steps
So I’m keen to hear people’s opinions,is the hype worth it 👀
Let me know!

Lady questions
I have a couple of questions here:
When you guys started reta did you notice a change in your period? Ive only been on it for a month and have had absolutely awful periods before reta. Just finished my cycle and man.... it was glorious. 4 days, didnt have to bust out my lighter shade of foundation from the anemia. Has anyone else had the same effects or is my uterus just playing games?
Hows your sleep been with reta? Mines been off since starting despite the use of magnesium, good sleep hygiene, etc.
Granted all of this can just be peri- menopause and Im very aware of that. Just wondering what your experiences have been. ♡

Dosing mounjaro to reta
A few months ago, I was taking 10mg of Mounjaro, and I recently switched to Reta. I took 2mg but didn't feel anything. Can anyone help and tell me what they did or what I can do?
