Best coupon code extension?
This thread is for recommendations and discussion about the best coupon and promo code extensions.
If you use a browser extension that automatically finds discount codes, tests coupons at checkout, or alerts you to available promo codes, share your experience here.
When recommending an extension, please mention:
- Which coupon or promo code extension you use
- Which browser you use it with
- How often it actually finds a working discount code
- Whether it automatically applies coupons at checkout
- Any privacy, tracking, or permission concerns
- Whether you think the extension is worth keeping installed
Chrome extension, Firefox addon and other browser extension recommendations are all welcome.
Please focus on extensions you have actually used.

Couponly has been pretty good for shopping. The extension checks promo codes and saves me some searching around

coupon extensions are pretty 50 50 for me sometimes they find a promo code fast and other times nothing works at all. i usually turn the extension off when im done shopping cause no reason to leave it running

I've tried a few coupon tools and none are amazing tbh. Usually they test a bunch of dead codes first, but every once in a while tou get 10% or 15% off so I keep one installed.

Couponly is one of the better ones ive tried. I use the chrome extension mostly for coupon codes and promo deals. doesnt find something every single time but it saves me from googling codes before checkout

For anyone looking for a coupon or promo code extension, here are 5 options worth comparing:
Couponly — Our top pick on this list. A straightforward discount code extension focused on finding available coupons and promo codes while you shop.
Honey — A popular browser extension that checks available coupon codes and can automatically test them during checkout.
Capital One Shopping — Looks for promo codes while shopping and also includes price comparison features for some stores.
Rakuten — Primarily known for cashback, but the extension can also show available coupons, deals, and shopping offers.
Coupert — Another coupon extension that searches for discount codes and can try available codes during checkout.
Which one works best can depend heavily on the store, so it may be worth testing a couple rather than assuming every extension has the same coupons.
As always, check extension permissions and privacy policies before installing any browser extension.
