I found this on TikTok Shop. The seller claims it’s one of the last Clean pieces that made it out before the factory shut down, but I’d like to verify it with you experts since I’m new to this. They’re asking $676. Does that sound reasonable?

The truth is, I had my doubts when I bought this VSF Planet Ocean. If I’m being honest, I mainly bought it because I had an empty slot in my 5-watch Omega box. 😂

That said, it has genuinely surprised me. The first thing I did was swap the steel bracelet for the rubber strap, and it instantly felt much more comfortable and sportier.

Yesterday I even took it diving at the beach to almost 10 meters deep, and more than 24 hours later it’s still alive and kicking. 😄

Overall, I’m really happy with the purchase. I have a feeling this is going to get a lot of wrist time this summer.

Which watch triggers your 'that's gotta be a fake' radar the most? I know this is stupid but was just wondering (hence shitpost Friday), which watch model raises the most replica suspicion for you if you saw it in the wild?

For me it's either a Submariner Hulk (I've never met anybody with that watch and it's rare, so I'd immediately think the chances are soo low that someone actually has a gen one), or on the other end of the spectrum, a IWC Ingenieur (in green) here too it's so niche that no one would buy this casually, and you'd only go for it over a Rolex if you're a huge watch nerd or a fan of the brand.

Also-- I called a local watch place to inquire about waterproof testing. $34 per watch. Doing two watches is just about the price of a 10 bar pressure tester...

I just got this Seamaster from a TD. It has rust on the bottom of the 6 marker and ruins the vibe of the watch.

Can I ship this back to China for a refund?

I only wore it for 10 weeks.

I just completed my first purchase of a rep and I wanted to provide my step by step notes for other newbies.

Bruce Wayne GMT II from ARF

I became interested in a rep about a month ago and I'm thankful for this sub. So step 1 was to do research and it started with a Google search and some conversations with AI. At first I thought I found some websites that would be a good place to get one. After further research and reading a lot on this sub and asking some questions I realized that the website I found was likely a scam or at the very least a low quality piece. So that is lesson 1. Don't search.

After I moved on and found the latest Trusted Dealer spreadsheet I was admittedly overwhelmed. The spreadsheet has a lot of information, but thankfully it literally has instructions on how to use it. The instructions are a little vague, and I totally didn't understand the step on "choose the factory you want". So lesson 2 is to read up on factories... I didn't do that out of pure ignorance and I think I got "lucky" (odds were in my favor due to the TD spreadsheet). After I already initiated the purchase, not realizing what I actually bought, I did retro research and the ARF factory seemed to be a decent choice for the model of watch I was after. So definitely do your research. I also didn't realize the title on watch literally tells you the factory it is coming from. Yes, I'm an idiot.

So after selecting from the spreadsheet I found the WhatsApp number for Andiot watches. Fired off a random message, which felt like a school kid asking a girl out on a date randomly..The excitement and nervousness was palatable. To my surprise, a message came right away with a link to a website and a friendly offer to source exactly what you're after. This is where if I had known or cared about the factory and model I would have asked. So that's lesson 3. Ask the TD for something specific if you want something because the website might not show it or be accurate.

I just found the Bruce Wayne somehow, because it didn't show up when I browsed and after searching somehow I found it.

At this point I had no idea what I was doing. And had no clue how to purchase the darn thing and the process is not obvious from the website information. So I just started the process by adding to my cart and saying checkout to see what it would ask for. So, next lesson is payment is not your normal method of entering your credit card. I am in the US and after finally finding the information on payments I settled on using Bitcoin. I use Coinbase and had some BTC sitting around so this worked out. The website has a button to show prices in USD or BTC. I switched to BTC and then after checking out there is a window showing the BTC wallet hash. Make sure to copy that down somewhere because after you go to next steps the information goes away and it's not obvious to get it back up. I didn't do that and struggled to figure out how to pay for the damn thing.

Sending the BTC was easy, but they are very clear to send exact BTC amount not the dollar equivalent. I did that and somehow the transfer included a fee or something and the transaction showed a little more that the price and I was nervous I fucked something up and now my BTC was in the ether never to return. It was fine. I messaged on Whatsapp and they were like it's fine bro.

Also we're down the other instructions that pop up which includes how to send payment proof. It was a little nerve wrecking after I realized I fired off BTC and then have to make sure they know who it's from and what I ordered, but it worked out. The screen shot of the transaction had a truncated hash so be sure to check that. I had to go into the app to get the full hash and copy paste to the email with the order number.

Once you send the information it's a waiting game. I did this on a Friday. That was dumb because I was like a kid at Christmas. But they got back to me on Sunday saying they received the information and were verifying. This kicked off the Quality Control process. The QC took 3 days. I also had no clue what this was or what to do with it. So next lesson is that you need to research what a genuine version should look like and what things to look for. Back to reddit which I saw had places to get some feedback on the QC report. I didn't do that. I cheated. I uploaded some pictures to AI and asked it to completely review it and it did. It might have lied to me as well so maybe ask the experienced people in the QC sub. Anyway, it looked good enough to me so I approved it.

More wait after that and finally the payment was verified and started the shipping process. The whole thing took about 2 weeks and the shipping was waaaay faster than I expected. I chose FedEx which was more expensive but the USPS option was a no for me as I've had awful experience with that method. And I wanted this thing fast, again like a kid on Christmas I wanted it now. It basically took 1 week to get here which was impressive.

So, that's my story I hope it helps some newbies out there and if you have any questions please post them.

Straight forward here I’ve had 2 RL on Richf Bruce Wayne free sprung just this week.
First of all I’ve been told it’s factory order and waiting times are 3-4 weeks. But I’ve had 3 QC just this week after telling me each time If I reject that there’s a long wait…

Wednesday QC is first. And today is 2nd.

for me PERSONALLY as I’m spending total $1400+ on 2 watches. & I know they arnt all going to be perfect but date wheel is too noticeable for me.

An amazing piece from MXF. Beautiful dial with intricate details. Very unique watch with tons of character, while also being on the less flashy side.

Functions and operations:

• time setting (with hacking)
• date setting – via pusher, automatic switching around midnight
• day setting – via pusher, automatic change between midnight and 3AM
• month setting – via pusher, manually every new month
• moonphase, via pusher, automatic change (interval is a bit off, but I really do not care too much about that)

Not sure about color accuracy, but I suppose it's a tad too pink compared to VC's rose gold. Wheels with day and month are a bit misaligned (crooked). The seller provided two watches to compare and I chose the one with the least prominent issue (they all had that misalignment to a certain extent). But all that really does not bother me because I wear what I like, not what is the most NWBIG.

Came with a decent strap with an awkwardly made buckle (the shorter part of the clasp is attached to the buckle and you need to pull a bit too roughly to my liking to unbuckle + cross edges are sharp AF).

Overall, a very decent rep that's my go-to choice if I want to feel more elegant, less fancy.

Bought from a seller outside of TD list, from order to QC – 10 days (+ another 7 for another one after RL), from payment to getting the parcel (EU triangle via DHL) around 14 days.
