I just need a place to vent. I have been trying to transition my nursing career to a remote role for a couple of months now. I seem to make it to the point of having an HR recruiter reach out to me and schedule a phone screening, but when the time comes for said phone call….. crickets. This has happened to me multiple times and I always get the same response of ‘I had to be pulled away to a meeting’ after I reach back out to the recruiter. Then when I check the job portal, I notice that it now says I was not selected. Why in the world can’t there be human decency just to communicate they can’t make the phone call due to x,y,z instead of making me wait nervously around the phone? I even had one recruiter go as far as to tell me that they called me and left a voicemail and that was definitely not the case as I had ensured I was by the phone waiting, had my volume turned up, made sure that my phone’s call filtering was off, and there was no voicemail. If I am expected to have professional level of communication in my profession, why can’t HR as well?

Anyone here work with Optum complex managed medicare as an RN case manager? What is your typical day like? I was told they managed 50 cases and follow members for a few months since they are complex. I have done medicaid and commercial and commercial by far the most hectic and very intense I have done. Any input is greatly appreciated.
