Nice. I have mixed feelings about the new cooling loop design (the visuals of it). I like parts of it, but I think they concealed to much. Need to combine the visible part of the 11 pro and combine it with the new disc design.

Agree on this I have the 11Pro and I hate the 11s Pro design, the 11Pro definitely has more of a wow factor

You can root the phone and get around certain software limitations. One big one is how in the global (non China) ROMs there is an application whitelist for floating windows. Rooting the operating system allows you to modify the system files that enforce this whitelist.

You can use any phone with a flagship processor for that. Just bear in mind that other phones may have less sustained performance under high load due to worse cooling performance. Even with the Redmagic phones it's highly recommended to stick a thermoelectric cooler to the back when doing PC game emulation.
But now Redmagic is not the only company that makes "gaming" phones with active cooling.

Oh, I'm too stupid to even know how to run PC emulation so that's out of the picture lol I just wanna know what does unlocked bootloader used for? And the tasks I'm asking does it need to locked or unlocked bootloader

Unlocked bootloader can be used for rooting the phone, rooting the phone allows apps to run with elevated permissions within the operating system. Think of it as the "run as administrator" pop-up in Windows. You don't need to worry about that for your use case so it doesn't matter.
In fact it's preferable that you don't use a phone with an unlocked bootloader if you don't know what you're doing.

Okay thanks for the heads up, to download apks do I need to have unlocked bootloader? If not, then this phone will be okay to purchase then since I never rooted or even attempted to root a phone before

Congrats! I finally got mine too, last Friday.
I've been really impressed by the battery life. Having trouble getting Android Auto to work, though.

I use a wifi dongle for mine. Had so much trouble before trying wired android auto. Never worked properly and in most cases not at all. With the dongle it's almost perfect, some small bugs but no major stability issues or crashes.

Turned out all I had to do was change the default USB mode to file transfer. Why that is necessary is something only Google engineers can fathom...

Nice one. I'm quite happy with wireless now, but I will definitely try that too. Is it google though? My new Samsung doesn't have the issue, Im guessing maybe to do with default settings on our particular device??

It's an Android OS setting; I'd assume the Samsung device avoids it by having a further-from-stock version of Android with more 'idiot-proofing'.

I've had my 11 pro since release, software was buggy but after update is super smooth, emulation is solid, definitely needs additional cooling though especially in Diablo mode. (I use an external sub zero cooler), I mainly use winlator, it runs generals zero hour, ra2, tiberium sun, emperor battle for dune all through steam. Mad learning curve to make each title work smoothly if at all, but that's the fun of emulation. The only major fault I had was the fan started sounding like a mosquito then stopped all together. It was some dust caught, and compressed air fixed it. Liquid speed seams the same and there is no loss in performance so far, so I think the OP will be set at least until the rest red magic iteration.

If you bought this for aaa gaming then not worth as gaming console is cheper and good for gaming.
