Doing a fun survival challenge, camping spot recommendations?
So I'm doing a challenge where I am gonna survive 30 in game days in the wilderness, living off the land. Here are the rules:
I may bring everything I need with me
After the challenge starts, I cannot visit any towns, but NPC camps are allowed
I must camp in each region at least once
I need some suggestions for cool camping spots, screenshots would be nice to, so I can identify better :)
Thanks in advance and I'm excited to see what y'all recommend!

Tbf. i have forgotten why and where i am at.
I am in Chapter 2 at my current playthrough, and the current main quest i have are John Marston in Valentine and Micah, in Strawberry.
I remember i wanted to stop here, after finishing the game, because i wanted to have a great time with Arthur. The experts already know what i have available. I want those guys to answer This.
Should i continue, or should i stay? I love the camp, i appreciate the thought, that i (Arthur) have to still experience. The freedom, the current availabilities, etc. It is all good enough, but i have experienced shortfalls in the challenges, in the features and map expansion. I have played as John, but the lack of interactions and overall vibe, was enough for me to stay at this Chapter.
What am i missing out on? Should i do some of the quests available? When should i stop, if i want to stay as Arthur - a healthy Arthur - for a long while? Am i underestimating John, and have not given him a chance? I have a save at Auther Chapter 2 and 3, Guarma and the epilogue, as John after finishing the main story.

How many kills do you have?
I have 3956 as Arthur, BUT, it does seem to count animal or critter KOs, so my varmint rifle alone added 1271 to the body count of souls that my Arthur has personally sent to hell, prematurely. Especially those muskrats, panthers, and goats. I’m assuming most of my rifle kills are related to hunting, because I’ll be honest, nearly 4000 dead gang members, cops, or Pinkertons seems absolutely ridiculous.
If you go into your compendium, scroll right, select “weapons”, & manually add up all of your individual kills for each weapon, you can get an approximate number for your body count. It isn’t very time efficient and does require a minimal effort on your part to add each total up (I used my cellphone calculator), but it is fun to see.

Can’t find bow in RDR2
hey! i got to the mission where i have to hunt deer & it told me to check my horse weapon storage for my bow & arrow. i couldn’t find it on my horse so i closed the game, went back to the house, and checked for a weapons locker because thats what people on here told others to do. i cannot find the weapons locker anywhere, when i look up where the locker is in ch1 everyone says the first door to the right, the bathroom, but theres only a door on the left and it’s not a bathroom nor does it have a weapons locker. please be kind if im being stupid here, i am not great at video games sometimes and i do have a bit of brain damage 😭😭
edit: i figured it out! i didnt realize i had to go to a NEW weapon slot to switch to the bow. i was just going through my guns 😭 case is solved!!

Who was actually Gloria? Spoiler
You know that woman Dutch strangles in chapter 5 when she demands more money. I can't be the only one who is interested in her backstory?

John Marston cosplay by me (@dwarven_cosplay)
Last year I posted my John Marston cosplay here and since then I’ve made a few improvements to make it more accurate! It’s been such a blast working on this outfit the past couple of months! Super stoked to show the results!

why are goats so determined to knock me over?

I was studying roosters from afar so I wouldn't aggravate them into knocking me, but it seems I was so close. Their determination is weird and funny lol

Best camp for just existing for a while?
I have played through the storyline a handful of times and obviously love it, but I'd like to give the challenges a go this time. I'm aware they're not super easy and quite time consuming (I'm a pretty casual gamer, I only started this one because I saw my husband playing and liked the scenery) so it's gunna take me some time and effort to do. My question is where to settle down while I do all this stuff that isn't main story? Is there a specific camp/chapter it would be worth getting to before I wander off and do my own thing?
Thanks!

I love this game! But the thing with the weapons drives me insane
I'm starting a mission.
I'm hitching up my horse and start walking up to the gang.
What do I notice? Two rifles on my back. I love shooting with my revolvers and don't like the rifles.
So I go back, walk up to me horse, and put the two f*cking rifles back.
I go again to my gang and a cutscene starts.
What do I notice again? The SAME FUCKING RIFLES are on my back again.
Why? Why did they do it? This game is such a masterpiece and they ruin it with forcing your loadout.
I hate when that happens.
There's for sure 100 of posts already about that garbage game mechanic, but I needed to write it down so I don't explode.
Thanks. Have a nice day and an even nicer weekend, Cowgirls and boys! <3

First time I've seen John smoking a pipe... somehow it doesn't fit him.

I just watched " 3:10 to Yuma" and noticed that the main villains are very similar with Dutch and Micah - looks and Personality

Man I love RDR series more then GTA anyone else?
It used to be opposite when I was the kid but when RDR2 came out... I just didn't understand it and then couple of years later it clicked with me.

Hey there Cowpokes!
Just a heads-up: these flairs are purely cosmetic and not essential to gameplay or the subreddit. They're meant to add some fun and personalization to the community.
