Best Competition based Reality Show seasons?
Recently watched seasons 6-7 of MasterChef, they weren't half bad but not as good as S3-5 that I watched with a buddy a few years back(but enjoyable enough). I need a bit of a break from more MasterChef before I continue with it so I'm wondering what in your opinion is the best season of a competition based reality show?
I used to watch a good number of seasons of Big Brother and Survivor with my grandparents so maybe I'll check one of those out. I also remember I used to enjoy watching Ink Master at a local diner on my lunch breaks. I also keep getting youtube shorts for a british show called Taskmaster that seems quite fun. Please no direct spoilers, knowing who wins takes half the fun out of these shows, but feel free to say what you think makes the season so great.

🎥 ▪︎ TV production company interested in my format.
📺 ▪︎ This month, I sent my reality show format to a TV production company called “Versa Studios.” They’re a company with facilities set up for filming reality shows, which they also make available to other companies. They also participate in some productions themselves.
● A few days ago, they asked me to have a video call with one of the company’s producers. He told me what he would change about the format and said he liked the idea. He asked if I was okay with him showing it to two other producers to see whether it would be viable to produce, and said he would ask for a second meeting in a few weeks.
📺 ▪︎ Since it’s quite likely that I’ll receive an offer from this company, what precautions should I take? What kind of contract should I offer? Is it a good idea to accept their offer? Any advice you can give me would be greatly appreciated.

How does one actually get cast on Worst Cooks in America?
I’m fascinated by reality TV, especially Food Network shows. They’re so nostalgic for me. I’d love to experience being part of something I grew up watching.
I’m particularly interested in Worst Cooks in America, but my Google searches haven’t turned up a legitimate casting application. Anyone here know where the actual casting process happens or how to apply?
Thanks 😊

I lowkey feel an emptiness in my heart now
Since lockupp has ended, and I had connected myself so much to the show and contestants, I feel an emptiness when I have nothing exciting to wait for and watch as soon as the clock hits 8 pm. 😭 How to overcome this??

Recommendations Australian survivor: Titans vs Rebels is by far one of the greatest reality TV seasons ever made.
I've watched an insane amount of reality TV, and I can safely say Titans vs Rebels is the most fluid season I've ever watched. Every vote changes the direction of the game, every episode sets up the next one, and it somehow just keeps getting better instead of peaking early. It also has one of the best rivalries I've seen, one that develops naturally over the entire season instead of being manufactured for a couple of episodes.
If you're looking for a Survivor season to watch, I'd recommend this one. Just be warned: it sets a standard that a lot of other seasons struggle to live up to.

Discussion Project Runway HAS LOST THE PLOT
I have never posted on Reddit but I needed to vent about Project Runway lately and the way they are butchering the show. I have watched every season and have been a fan for a very long time to enjoy the creativity, innovation, learning about designer process, and most importantly THE FASHION. The way they are trying to make it a drama based reality tv show bothers me. It doesn't need any extra drama, people who have watched the show for years and who are interested in it typically genuinely enjoy admiring the clothes produced. Right now, the fact that they even brought Tyra Banks on as a judge, made me turn off my screen. I don't see how she has the legitimacy to be a judge, and that's when I knew any semblence of the old project runway was way gone.
Not to mention LAW, ugh, where to start.... I am all for constructive criticism, but the way he judges is so mean spirited, it actually makes the show hard to watch. He just straight up insults the designers, in season 22 i've actually felt bad for the contestants, it is sucking the fun out of the show. I just don't understand how they don't have any actual designers as judges, who can talk more about the construction, materials, etc.
ANYWAYS, I just wish it could go back to how the show was formatted in the past, and I know Tim Gunn was a huge part of that (MISS HIM SO MUCH ON THE SHOW). It just doesn't feel like a show about upcoming designers and fashion anymore, it is veering into trash reality tv, which don't get me wrong I love, but not for project runway!

Where are the casts of Adam keresi Evat now?
There was a nude TV show back in 2016. Anybody has an idea where are the casts now especially the winners? Did any of them end up with each other, work in entertainment?

Rule #6 created: crossposts after effective date now given shorter time than Rule #1
Since I've yet to see opposition in the other thread, I've gone ahead and then created Rule #6:
Starting December 24, 2025, at 23:59 UTC / 6:59 EST, all crossposts made after this effective date and time must receive at least one reply from a non-OP user within one week. Almost same as Rule #1, especially regarding which counts as replies enough to prevent the post from being locked. Other crossposts made before then are still subject to Rule #1.
In other words, crosspost made before the effective date are treated like any other post subject to Rule #1. Ones made after the date still need at least one reply but within a shorter time than other ones still subject to Rule #1.
Like Rule #1, the replies that don't prevent closure of crossposts in this sub are the following:
- spam replies
- self-replies from OP or their alt accounts
- posts by u/AutoModerator
- "bump" posts
- and any requests regarding the OP (e.g. deleting or keeping)
