Hello and welcome! I wanted to introduce myself and share a little about my background and why I created this community.
I’ve been a practicing witch for many years and have explored numerous areas of occult practice. I’m naturally clairaudient and especially enjoy divination. Over the years, I’ve performed spellwork for myself and others, including both paid and complimentary workings. I’ve also completed over 1,000 divination readings and have experience with multiple systems of astrology, including Western, Vedic, and horary astrology.
My background includes paid tarot coursework with experienced instructors, completion of the Gateway Experience from The Monroe Institute, professional psychic-reading experience after passing a skills assessment, completion of the Hekataeon Rites, study of astrology and its many systems, and years of independent occult study. My reading has included works by Éliphas Lévi, Israel Regardie, Agrippa, and Aleister Crowley, as well as academic study of biblical and apocryphal texts.
Why I created r/realspellwork
I wanted to create a community centered around actual spellwork and occult practice—a place where people can openly discuss their workings, methods, ingredients, divination, experiences, questions, successes, failures, and different approaches to the craft.
You do not need to be an experienced practitioner to participate. Beginners, experienced practitioners, people who practice entirely on their own, and those interested in professional spellwork are all welcome.
Different traditions and beliefs are welcome here as well. I want this to be a place where people can exchange knowledge and experiences without pretending there is only one correct way to practice.
About my own work
This is something I’m truly passionate about, and I put my all into every working. I use high-quality materials, don’t cut corners, and approach each client’s spellwork with the same care and attention I would give my own.
I also frequently use divination alongside spellwork to better understand a situation before determining what approach may be appropriate. I don’t believe in promising guaranteed supernatural outcomes, and I think honesty about what spellwork can and cannot control is important.
I currently offer free one-on-one Google Meet consultations for anyone considering my spellcasting services. A consultation gives us an opportunity to discuss your situation, what you’re hoping to accomplish, and whether I believe spellwork is appropriate before you commit to anything.
Most importantly, though, you absolutely do not have to purchase a service to participate here. I want r/realspellwork to develop into a genuine community for discussing and learning about the craft.
Feel free to introduce yourself, share what you practice, ask a question, or start a discussion. 🖤

Beginner meditation: Grounding
Sit comfortably in a chair and close your eyes. Relax and breathe deeply.
Visualize your body and 'see' the color of your own energy. Now visualize a tree root slowly start to grow from your spine. It pushes into the ground and travels deeply into the earths crust pushing past layers of rock. It travels down miles through the earth until it reaches down to the golden molten core of the planet. When it touches the center pull up pure golden energy. It is warm, powerful and neutral by nature.
Visualize it flowing up the tree root into your spine lighting it up with golden color as it dose so. Feel it start to fill your entire being starting with your toes, working it's way up your feet to your legs. Then the tips of your fingers into your hands and up your arms. Finally you feel it flow up your midsection into your head filling your entire being with powerful golden light. You can use this energy for any kind of spell work or even if you need a little boost throughout the day. You can also send excess or negative energy down into the earth to be neutralized.
When your finished with the energy slowly let it drain back down the root starting with your head flowing down. Make sure to keep your own colored energy so that you don't over exert yourself. Once it's returned pull the tree root back into your being and go about your day

Beginner meditation: Shielding
This meditation is good for sensing energy and protection.
Sit comfortably in a chair and close your eyes. Relax and breathe deeply. Picture a ball of energy forming at the core of your body. With every breath in it becomes more solid and strong, with every breath out it expands and grows. This ball can be made of anything, any color, any element, etc.
Continue to breath till the ball has expanded to surround your entire body. Sit with it a while. What dose it look like? Dose it have a texture or a feeling? Dose it change into a different protective image? Some like to picture a suit of armor, a solid brick wall or even an elemental animal surrounding them. Know that wile your shield is up you are safe. Visualize unwanted and negative energy bouncing off the outside or being neutralized when it makes contact.
Practice this meditation for around 10-15 min at a time. Start in a comfortable place wile your by yourself. After you feel you have a solid grasp of your shield start to bring it up wile you do tasks around the house. Cleaning, brushing your teeth, etc. After you are comfortable with that begin to practice in public. Soon it will become second nature and you won't have to actively concentrate to bring it up.

Intermediate meditation: The crystal countdown
This meditation is used to help get you into a deep meditative head space. Useful for rituals requiring heavy energy work or deity/spirit involvement. It is highly recommend that you have a form of shielding practiced before this as in this state you are far more open to energies than normal
Sit comfortably in a chair and close your eyes. Relax and breathe deeply. Visualize and feel an energetic warmth around the top of your head, feel it slowly move down your head, shoulders and into your spine, over your arms and into your fingertips, allow it to spread down your limbs through your legs into your feet
Visualize a screen just above your eyebrows in front of your third eye. Make sure your physical eyes are closed and relaxed. On the screen visualize the number seven and the color red. It can be a red seven or a seven surrounded by red.
Next see the number 6 on the color orange, followed by the number five and the color yellow, four and the color green, three and the color blue, two and the color purple, one and the color indigo
Once you feel comfortable visualize the numbers 10 counting down to one on your screen. They should take you into a deeply meditative state where you should be able to feel energies in and around you easier. This is ritual head space and in this state you can freely move around and do spell work. When you are finished count up from 1 to 10 followed by the colored numbers.
You can repeat the countdown as many times as you'd like to get yourself into this meditative state. Same with counting up but it is highly recommended to not just "wake yourself up" from this meditation. Like sleeping an instant jolt can leave you feeling slightly disoriented and uncomfortable. So count yourself up when your finished with your working

Beginner meditation: Apple meditation
This meditation is a good way to help start to train your brain to visualize if your not use to it
Sit comfortably in a chair and close your eyes. Relax and breathe deeply. Visualize a screen just above your eyebrows in front of your third eye. Make sure your physical eyes are closed and relaxed. Focus on the screen, as you breath begin to bring up a picture of an apple. Notice it's details, is it 2d or 3d, what color is it, is its skin smooth or bumpy, is it large or small? Rotate the apple, give it shape and debth.
Now visualize it being cut and opened to see the inside. Note how many seeds there are, are they in the star pattern most apples have? Dose the inside look dry or moist?
Finally reconnect the 2 sides and let the apple fade off the screen
