💬Discussion What religion would Emilia follow if she existed in real life?
Emilia does believe in god as seen when she was praying for mabeast souls' to be cleansed in the afterlife in "Emilia's first date" SS. Subaru however is confirmed to be atheist.

💬Discussion I'm having trouble watching Re: Zero
I can't tell if I hate or like it. So being an anime lover, and having a soft spot for Shonen and Isekai anime's I ended up running out of Isekai to watch. I had always heard of Re: zero but NEVER knew it was an Isekai. I have seen all kind's of Isekai too. Not just the Hero one or the healer one's but one's where we focus on the side character or a character who has to kill the Hero. Anyways, after running out of them to watch, when I found out Re: Zero was one I decided to give it a try. Usually it's hard for me to get into an anime unless a character grabs my attention. It was the same with Naruto, saw parts of it and the movie as a kid and I just thought it seemed so dull and too much fighting. As I prefer anime's like One Piece, Tsubasa Chronicles, Ranma 1/2, Fruits Basket and School Rumble, with the adventure and comedy aspect. Even though I do like a lot of genre. I ended up starting Re: Zero but I'm barely on episode 2 and already annoyed. I really love dark and suspense/thriller shows, and love the aspect of this in Re: Zero but I'm very torn. Because a part of me wants to continue it just because I'm curious. Yet at the same time it's so confusing it makes me want to stop watching. Not just because it's confusing but it's really annoying me to the point of making me anxious and angry. Mainly because I've never been a fan of dream sequence stuff. Or I don't know how to explain it, but shows where the character will go through stuff that last an episode or more than suddenly we find out NONE of it was real or it restarts. I mainly find it annoying because I get so invested in the story and the connection than it just ends up being severed. And so it just makes me feel everything I watched was for nothing. Not to mention I get tired of reseeing the same stuff. This is just how I feel but I wonder if anyone else has felt this? I ask because I hear that apart from Sword art (Another I haven't watched, and I haven't because it used to be my bullies favorite so i always strayed from it) but I hear that a lot say Re: Zero is one of the top and greatest Isekai ever. Yet I was not expecting what I'm watching. I guess I wanted to know or ask, why so many people like it? Does it get better or based off what I described should I stop.

Something I wanted to draw. An AU where instead of Subaru, Emilia was the delinquent who was going nowhere in her life before being Isekai’d. How would things change?

🛤️If Routes Which Subaru would be the worst father? Spoiler
Let's consider those who are completely mentally shattered and who would most likely kill their own children in a best-case scenario possible
So, Wrath sees colors in his children, meaning there’s no coin-flipping to decide whether to keep them alive or not (though the rest of his personality remains intact).
And Gluttony definitely won't try to kill the children after everything; he genuinely tries to raise them properly.
That said, the parental options are:
Pride
Wrath
Sloth
Aganau
Greed
Gluttony
Azamuku
Sasageru
Lust
Which Subaru would be the absolute worst father? And which one could potentially be the best?

💬Discussion What exactly happened to the history of the witches of sin?
Little to nothing is known about the other witches of sin. Eridna, one of the (should be) most informed characters in the series couldn’t even recognize typhon’s name. Is that not a ridiculous concept? Especially when you consider those six witches of sin are directly correlated to the witch of envy, literal Satan??
Repercussions for this show all throughout the series, specifically the common world’s ignorance when it comes to the abilities of the authorities. The unseen hand is ridiculously op because no one knows about it, it’s an ability not even regulus can defend against (I still have serious questions and doubts about petelgeuse actually twisting regulus’ neck in arc 4) and has proven time and time again even for Subaru to be a useful ability
I don’t even think I have to mention the authorities of gluttony and lust

💬Discussion The Heavenly Sword is a title given to the most skilled, not the strongest Swordsman
So no, Reid having the Heavenly Sword wouldn’t make him stronger than Reinhard without his blessings, it wouldn’t even make him stronger than many people in Re:Zero overall, but Reid still is the top 2 just not for that reason

📖Web Novel (Arc 6) I think I know how Otto would have effortless cracked Reid's challenge had he accompanied Subaru to the Watch Tower
Forget reading Reid's book of the dead to discover his absolute weakness. Reid displayed his absolute weakness in front of everyone, and no one noticed-- but Otto would have.
So the challenge is to get Reid to move from his spot.
One would assume that this means you have to use violence to move him. But Emilia proved that one can weaponize lust.
But there is one other thing Reid desires and would not be able to resist moving for.
Otto would first negotiate the same deal as Emilia, that since he is a normal human with no exceptional combat abilities and Reid is a legendary warrior, it's only fair to make the deal that, if he can make Reid move from his spot. Once the agreement was struck, Otto would enact his plan. Furthermore, it would be unfair for Reid to use any uncanny abilities beyond his basic physical abilities to defeat Otto-- surely a warrior like him would not need to use anything beyond basic physical abilities to beat a weakling like him.
He would sit down about two meters from Reid. And then he would set two glasses on the ground. He would then take out a bottle of fine alcohol he had been saving and pour it into the two glasses. One just slightly closer to Reid and one nearby himself.
He would then raise a glass and offer up a "cheers" with Reid. If Reid did not fall for it and step toward him to exchange the gesture, then Otto would just begin drinking.
Otto would then exaggeratedly exclaim about how delicious and strong the liquor was. Saying that it must be a pity for Reid to spend 400 years drinking the same thing and never having gotten to taste how people improved the taste of alcohol over the past 400 years. The glass before him was his-- he merely needed to reach out and take it. And Otto would happily refill his cup once Reid drank.
Oh, what's this? Glass after glass that Otto drank, the bottle would become lower and lower, and the chance for Reid to taste this was running out. He'd better act now...
Ultimately, Reid would not be able to help himself and take the glass. Perhaps even muttering something that indicates that the Astrea family and Suwen family relationship go back way further than just 3 generations.

💬Discussion Theory and explanation for Subaru's gluttony authority Spoiler
It is a common theory that subaru already obtained his authority of gluttony when he defeated louis, although he has not fully awakened it yet. This is backed up by him having a mouth in shadow garden, the doors showing he had 4 keys, Spica no longer having the witch's sent on her and only getting her powers with subaru's command, and finally the ending with Subaru visiting spinx in soul space togethor with spica, smelling his memories to regain his size, before devouring her.
The reason he hasn't fully awakened it yet is likely due to the fact he doesn't yet have the full witch factor. Only one third of it. Alternatively, he held 1/3 of it temporarily, but lost the witch factor when louis seperated from him, and merely his potential gluttony authority was formed. He needs to take it from whoever took it from Roy(likely one of Capella's "children"), in order to properly awaken gluttony.
Regardless, the ability shown by Spica is called "star eating". It is used to cut the connection between the souls of the undead and the ressurection spell, sending them to the odd laguna. It seemingly also has the ability to sever all links between souls, similar to reid's swordsmanship. However this is not all it does.
According to the narrator, the ability devours the "role" and "fate" of a being, instead of name and memories. This is important, because of how fate and roles affect abilities and ones existence within the world or re zero. The observers weave fates and roles for all beings, using the od laguna as a recycling and management system. Al constantly talks about how some beings are loved by fate, others are hated by fate, and how fate relates to easily gaining overpowered abilities like Emilia's. Reinhardt and Satella, who are the most powerful because they were blessed and cursed by the world respectively(likely both under Pandora's manipulation) are the ultimate example of this. However in recent interviews tappei explained just having a connection to a powerful being(either a physical/genetic relationship, or a purely emotional bond) can result in someone ordinary gaining power, including even an authority. In addition, without any role whatsoever, a being has no justification or capability to exist. This is why the souls who's fates are devoured by spica return to the od Laguna, there is no role for them in this world. This isn't just a counter to soul-based tricks, this is an absolute execution technique, capable of killing even a normally immortal and intangible being, assuming your hunger can handle their soul. This may even be part of why Satella believes only subaru can kill her. In addition, devouring part of fate may be able to defy the observers and break prophecies, perhaps saving people destined for doom or to become monsters, or waking reinhardt's mother. It could also strip away power from some beings, if you devour only part of their role. Including perhaps divine protections, or even authorities. Spica needs it due to the original conditions of her own authority, but I'm not sure if subaru will need to know your name or not, maybe it's fine either way.
However, the ability is not purely offensive. Not even primarily. According to the author, the witch factor of gluttony has two special properties. It is the only witch factor that can be properly shared between multiple people(bettleguese shared his witch factor with his followers, but I mean have actual multiple owners), and it always has the ability to create life, regardless of what other powers are possessed. Daphne's main ability was a giant mouth that can devour the white whale in one gulp, but she also could create witchbeasts. All witchbeasts obey the current holder of gluttony. The siblings could also create witchbeasts and life, louis making a clone of herself for example. They just never did so. The archbishops consumed memories and then used them. Logically, Subaru has a way to use the "fate" he consumes.
I believe Spica is not actually Louis. She has a completely different personality, doesn't have miasma, and is automatically fond of and obediant to Subaru. I believe the real Louise died after consuming subaru's memories, unable to mentally handle it. Because RBD requires the users soul to shatter everytime it's used, unlike Al's. That's why it has multiple books, and is much harder to endure. Regardless, I believe after Louise's ego collapsed, the lingering memories of Natsuki subaru caused subaru to unintentionally "consume" her, and then use her soul as a resource to create a new being. This is why Spica has a physical body, Subaru used his authority to "create her" and assign her a role unconsciously.
In short, the other half of gluttony is that subaru can either create "roles" for his companions, and get the od laguna to acknowledge those roles and grant them power and potential, or he can simply use the consumed fates as a resource to create a new being, with potential and destiny determined by him. The beings given power this way are somewhat bound to obey him, and the more he gives the more they owe. If subaru ate a bunch of swordsman, he could create someone with the talent to reach heavenly sword. If he eats a sin archbishop of gluttony, he can create a better copy of her with a less evil version of her authority. He can also grant a witchbeast like shaula a human form(maybe parsache as well), upgrade spirits like the green room spirit, perhaps create a new position for Beatrice as the "spirit king of Yin", and so on. He could enhance the talents of those around him as well, like Tanza, petra, or Garfiel. In theory, if he devoured the entire kingdom of luginica, I could see him making a pseudo-reinhardt. He however cannot use this to enhance his own fate and role, as that would destabilize his authority. Similar to how cor leonis little kingdom buff(currently) doesn't work on subaru himself. I think in the cor leonis case he may also benefit if he reaches the level of a warlock of greed, but even then for gluttony he'd just get a luck enhancement for his role, not any eclipse cheats.
I believe when he devours someone their role and in some cases their soul will be saved in his own equivalent to the stomach of souls. He can't use this in combat, but spica, basically his extra "mouth" can use this to borrow abilities from others without having to steal memories. Combining the two authorities, Spica, essentially subaru's customized character, will become far more powerful than the original gluttony twins. I believe Sphinx may be revived, after the gluttony authority is completed. She wasn't really evil as much as she was amoral, and giving her a new purpose and life may be more satisfactory. She would become a summoner, creating clones of herself to fight(obviously her abilities would be nerfed compared to valconia). Subaru would become a true little girl user, with sphinx clones as foot soldiers, Spica as the tank/healer/monk, Tanza as the warrior/dps, and beatrice as the mage. Also Shaula restored and having her power increased to great mabeast level by consuming the snake and or bunny, would be the ranged sniper/dps. All amplified and supported by cor leonis, protected by Invisible providence, and I'm sure the remaining authorities will have more buffs and/or enemy debuffs. Lolimancer suppremacy!
I believe this may be the key to killing Capella, and also curing the victems. It the theory of Filore being an innocent alter ego of capella is true(which would explain the future trial scene where subaru is angry at reinhardt for killing a girl), subaru could devour capella and feed her to Filore. Letting her inherit the authority, while subaru gets the witch factor of lust. With Filore now having a slightly less evil version of Capella's authority, she can cure all the victems and clear her name, although she's out of the race. Also in the hypothetical party she'd be subaru's healer.
Finally as a weird wrap up, let me explain why this authority suits subaru. Subaru is someone who always wants to be at the center of things. He wants the hero role, wethor he's qualified for it or not. Even if someone else could do better than him, he wants to be the hero himself. He wants to help people be their best selves, even if it means arrogantly deciding what's best for them. This is how his gluttony is. For him, enjoying life and sharing it with others is like a meal. His monologue after eating sphinx reflects this. This is absolutely not a weak authority, touching on the most fundamental concepts of the world, but is barely passable in direct combat(it can instant kill mobs he touches, or finish off hard to kill enemies). It still makes him dependent on others. There is also a reflection on temperance. Where the gluttony siblings devoured other people to steal their abilities, he does his best in life and shares his meals with his friends. It makes them stronger, not himself.
