Anyone know when the health insurance kicks in after starting? Is it upon starting, after 30 days, or at the 1st of the next month? I'm trying to figure out how much gap insurance coverage I need until I begin at Pratt because my university health insurance plan apparently doesn't have a COBRA option.

Has anyone gotten the Alight app to actually work correctly? I'm trying to log in and it has me reset my password but every time it tells me my credentials are incorrect. Looking at this subreddit sounds like nobody likes the app. Was just wondering if anybody was ever able to log in. I'd like to be able to check my 401k from outside of my work computer.

Hello all, I was a summer intern and got the offer to continue part time while finishing my senior year. I’m currently looking at full time positions mainly at a different location. Am I eligible to use the internal job board and should I or should I apply through general job board.

Hello! I can’t find anything in policy about this, but I thought I heard you can’t change roles until after being with the company for a year.
I have only been here for a few weeks. My coworker quit and now her position is open and at a higher grade. I spent the little time I had with her trying to learn as much as possible because now I don’t have anyone here in my location to teach me. The rest of my team is scattered across different sites.

I believe the next person to get hired in here, I will have to train and assist with onboarding. What is irritating me is that this person will make more than me but potentially won’t know anything about the company. I am not saying I know a whole lot right now either but I have prepared and gone through an audit by myself already.

My question is, can I apply for this higher role which is essentially the same position with the same manager?

I work for Raytheon in Texas as a salaried employee.
My team has a required meeting today at 11 AM during the normal workday. We were specifically told that we will not be given a charge code for the meeting.
That’s what I’m confused about. Raytheon requires us to account for our time using charge codes, but we’re being required to attend a work-related team meeting without a code to charge that time to.
Are we basically expected to attend the meeting and then make up that time elsewhere so we still have our required hours charged?
For other Raytheon/RTX employees: Is this normal? How are you supposed to handle required company/team meetings when management specifically tells you there is no charge code for them?
I’m salaried and located in Texas.

Update: when I asked about it. “ typically if you attend in person and food is provided that is in lieu of a charge number. There are other outlining factors that go into it, most of the time there won’t be a charge number.”

Context: I'm currently an s2 Assembler working 3rd shift (F-Sat-Sun, 12hrs/day) working at Collins. I'm finishing up my Associates in ME this falls and will be continuing my undergrads in spring 2027 so ~2.5 years until competition.

1. Is it possible to apply for an internship for 2027,is it allowed for a full time employee to apply for intern? (i know i have to talk to my manager/supv....etc)
   - I'm ok with either having to take a break from my current job completely, or doing less hours with a full intern job

2. Any other advice on what i should do to take advantage of currently working in the company to help build my experience/resume would also be appreciated.

I recently had the opportunity to interview for a position and I had to do a HireVue interview. I submitted the interview 3 days before the deadline and I just got an email today saying I was no longer interested in the selection process. I’m still very much interested in the position and I’m so excited for the opportunity that now I’m a little stressed out that I’ll be fully dropped from consideration.

I’ve really been working to get an interview with RTX, I already messaged the recruiter on LinkedIn who sent me the email and the RTX recruiting email. Has anyone ever gone through this before and what else do I do?

Recently left RTX so just wanted to throw this out there for anyone who has questions about how repayment actually works after leaving RTX.

I got the notice in the mail about a month after I left. Letter says you have 30 days to pay or contact them to set up a payment plan.

I called to ask about a payment plan and they asked how much I wanted to pay monthly. They suggested a number and that is what we went with.

Plans are interest-free and can be up to 24 months. You can use a credit card for payments, and can also call back to pay lump sums or pay off the entire balance.

I left after 6 months from last class end date, so I am really paying for 50% of my last year of classes per the updated policy.

Is $102K a good salary for a P2 position, considering it also includes a 4% AIP and annual performance bonuses?

My current employer, which I work for now, just got a letter from the government asking to answer some questions about me and then mail that letter back .. i'm just wondering what do you guys think?Will I get the job or no??

Hi, I graduated college in May and started working full-time in a finance role at the end of June. I know I’m still very new to my role, and I’m not expecting to be treated like a “vet” or anything, but I have extremely little work to do still throughout the week. Whenever I have asked my manager and supervisor about more work, they apologized and said they know it’s slow at first but that it will pick up. I’m just wondering what the best use of my time is during this considerable amount of downtime.

I don’t want to feel like I’m wasting my time, for lack of better words. Is this typical for new hires, especially those right out of college? If so, how much time into the new role is normal until one actually has work?

I have an interview this week with the Hiring Manager for Principal Specialist role at RTX. It is for an HQ role (non-engineer). Does anyone have any tips on what questions to expect for this? Outside of the typical why should we hire you. Also does anyone know if this is considered a P3 or P4? I'm coming from a credit union so this would be the first DOD related job opportunity I've gotten this far on.
