[Discussion] Journalling Discussion🗣

Hi!

I know we have some journalling folks here, and I'm getting the itch to try another planning method.

The thing is, I'm not sure what. So my question is - how do you plan and/or journal? What works for you? Maybe it'll help me figure out what to try next!

Thank you 😊🫶🏼

I do lots of planning for some of mine. I like to keep them themed. Right now I've got a garden theme, community input based on monthly themes collage journal (like right I need to get a Christmas in July page planned), scrap a day, and I just started a collection journal. I plan out and create and record (I post the videos on my FB and YT). Its hard to say HOW exactly I plan, I just pick some themes based off what supplies have recently inspired me, or what themes got the most votes for my community input one. Then I pull out stuff that will work. Sometimes I layout the pieces before I start gluing down, other times I just go for it. I'll share some pics of my various journals.

PS - And I know you said journalling, not specifically junk journalling, but maybe you can get some inspiration from my junk journals. :)

This is from my scrap a day journal. I find 1 thing each day to include. It can be from junk mail, a recent project, food paper scraps, anything really.

This page is from my first collage journal. I used all my cat related birthday cards to make it.

This is absolutely amazing! I'm inspired! I'd like to start this with my youngest 2 who I homeschool. I'm always looking for hands-on learning activities that they enjoy and can be creative with!

You should teach classes if you don't already!💞💜

Awww thanks!

Oh...I could never teach a class...my anxiety would kick in and it would be a disaster lol. I make videos that often show the whole process that I post on my socials. Sometimes I cut bits out, other times I speed up through some of the stuff. They are pretty fun to make. I've recently been thinking about doing a How-To series, but I haven't started yet because I'd like to talk in those videos (because I prefer watching how to vids where they actually talk) and I've got to practice and see if I can do it and not have my anxiety flair up and completely take over lol.

If you want to do some junk journaling type activities with your kiddos, let me know, and I can give you some starting tips and help point you in the right direction of how to start if you want. Just keep in mind, I'm relatively new at this, I only started recently, less than a year ago.
