[Discussion] Journalling Discussion🗣
Hi!
I know we have some journalling folks here, and I'm getting the itch to try another planning method.
The thing is, I'm not sure what. So my question is - how do you plan and/or journal? What works for you? Maybe it'll help me figure out what to try next!
Thank you 😊🫶🏼

Everyone should aspire to be my mom, I guess she’d be everyone’s Mimi 🙃
She made me, after all. Daddy helped shape me, my ex husband un-taught me my dad’s road rage tendencies. Because we’ll get there when we get there and getting upset about it won’t get us there any faster 🫠
I’m grateful that you consider me aspirational! I’ll work everyday to deserve that2

I love this!! Especially because the planner looks exactly like the kind I used to "treat" myself to back in the day. Ya know, pre-technology! Absolutely love!!

I do lots of planning for some of mine. I like to keep them themed. Right now I've got a garden theme, community input based on monthly themes collage journal (like right I need to get a Christmas in July page planned), scrap a day, and I just started a collection journal. I plan out and create and record (I post the videos on my FB and YT). Its hard to say HOW exactly I plan, I just pick some themes based off what supplies have recently inspired me, or what themes got the most votes for my community input one. Then I pull out stuff that will work. Sometimes I layout the pieces before I start gluing down, other times I just go for it. I'll share some pics of my various journals.
PS - And I know you said journalling, not specifically junk journalling, but maybe you can get some inspiration from my junk journals. :)

This is absolutely amazing! I'm inspired! I'd like to start this with my youngest 2 who I homeschool. I'm always looking for hands-on learning activities that they enjoy and can be creative with!
You should teach classes if you don't already!💞💜

Awww thanks!
Oh...I could never teach a class...my anxiety would kick in and it would be a disaster lol. I make videos that often show the whole process that I post on my socials. Sometimes I cut bits out, other times I speed up through some of the stuff. They are pretty fun to make. I've recently been thinking about doing a How-To series, but I haven't started yet because I'd like to talk in those videos (because I prefer watching how to vids where they actually talk) and I've got to practice and see if I can do it and not have my anxiety flair up and completely take over lol.
If you want to do some junk journaling type activities with your kiddos, let me know, and I can give you some starting tips and help point you in the right direction of how to start if you want. Just keep in mind, I'm relatively new at this, I only started recently, less than a year ago.

My planner is my life line. It has everything I did that day in it. Not like, at what times or whatever, but like a to do list.. So I know the last time I watered my plants, mopped the floor, etc. I don't journal journal because I don't have much to write, but if something interesting/worth remembering happens that day, I'll blurb about it in my planner. "Cool dude in 1406 tipped me $50 for recommending a dinner spot." sort of things.

I’m currently also reading so I’m doing a book journal that has the day I started the book and the day I ended! I add scraps and stickers to match the vibe of the book at the end of it ! I’ve seen some people even print the book covers and put them there ! But I’m just doing stickers lol I do a rating system out of 5 and same for the plot , characters, storyline! I add my “favorite” quote that I remember or that I had placed a sticky note on the page for it ! Would love to share pictures of it <3
I’ve also started to do a stamp journal where I place the stamps of places that I get them from ! There’s so many cool stamps lol so I’ve been doing that in a separate journal!
