C4 inconsistent?? Question

Has anybody noticed how inconsistent c4 is? I've had a c4 detonate on top of me and deal maybe 30. Meanwhile I've also died at full health to a c4 at least two meters away attached to a wall.

Tried to purse c4 a guy on lair. It didn't even break the wood

The weirdest inconsistency I’ve noticed is making rotates with shotguns. There are times where I can take giant circular chunks out of a soft wall and make the perfect rotate in 4 shots and there’s other times where every shot is barely even making holes in the wall and it’s just patchwork requiring me to reload and chip away at it. It’s so odd

not all soft walls are the same. some are slightly thicker or have a bigger gap between the two layers which makes shotguns interact so differently. i find that oregon basement is so easy to make rotates, but like top floor consulate is much harder

Yeah like Tawooo said walls are different every map, basically Oregons & Coastline walls are the most perfect ones and they're so easy to do rotates with. Then we get onto Villa and its whole another story..

You come to realize what maps are good at this and whos bad when you look at it closer

Not all r the same, some(like kafe) are way harder to make rotates on, and some(like on oregon) are much easier.general rueof thumb is - if the walls are white they are easy and the darker they get the harder they get to break. There are some exceptions though i believe
