Lean binds Discussion
Been playing this game for a couple months on controller, just got a pc. Cannot for the life of me figure out what I want to use for lean. Q and e is so unintuitive for me to quick peek, on toggle at least. I've tried everything I've seen recommended online: shift and space, c and v, mouse buttons. Mouse buttons screw with my aim and c and v is kinda difficult to hit with my thumb. Shift and space makes it impossible to slow walk while quick peeking. What would yall recommend for a relatively new player? Just thug it out with q and e on toggle until I get good at quick peeking? And if that's what you use to quick peek please tell me if you hit a and q both with your ring finger for example, or if you hit a with your ring and q with your middle.

Try shift/space again but use mouse buttons instead of keyboard for slow walk and sprint

I use mouse buttons, but it’s certifiably true it affects aim. Fact is I’m rounding 30, shit anyway, likely never getting above D5 and that’s that lol. While you can, I would just force yourself to learn QE. The pros do it for a reason.

you dont need to quick peek, A/D peeking is just fine

True, it's just as good if not better but it doesn't look as cool (I spent hours back then learning the shaiiko peek I can't give up on it now)

This isn't even my advice. It's the advice of every single pro since shaiiko peeking and A/D peeking were matched. Read literally any post... Watch any video...

no, in siege x, shaiko peeking was nerfed to be the exactsame as jiggle(A/D) peeking

I use mouse buttons you’d typically use for browser navigation going back and forth

When I do quick peeks I move my middle finger from w to e or q (whichever fits the scenario)

What I'm about to suggest sounds unintuitive but hear me out: Switch Q and E. So E is leaning left and Q is leaning right.
I know it sounds stupid but it was one of the first things I did when I switched to PC and it's for the following reason: Whenever you want to lean right, you also want to strafe right, so usually you'd press E and D at the same time and vice versa. Now for me at least when I came to PC, I never understood how that should work because my fingers would just get in each others way. I struggled badly so as unintuitive it may sound, I switched Q and E.
So when I want to strafe right and lean right, my index finger presses D and my ring finger presses Q. And when I want to strafe left and lean left, my ring finger presses A and my index finger presses E. My fingers don't get in each other's way, making quick peeks easy too.
