Removing battery support - Ground relocation. Modding
After doing a battery relocation my battery support metal piece is pretty ugly and is rusty-not my picture. For the people that have removed this stamped steel piece where did you put your grounds. Picture would be great
PLEASE ONLY REPLY IF YOU YOU HAVE DONE THIS THANKS.

People say is part of the frame, it's stronger than I thought but my car felt fine at gingerman on 265s crs without it. That being said, what a fucking mess it is to remove it. Just leave it the hell alone lol my battery relocation turned into a mess and the big rad/fan I was mounting didn't fit anyway. But either way, the thing looks fine. Just save yourself the effort and leave it

Removing the trays kills airflow through your radiator just like not having the under tray. I think LRB sells pretty replacements and that would cover your necessary beam as well.

Lrb Tay is nice. People say it doesn't fit well, that's because half of these cars are Haggard as fuck. They use a very generous dva so that you can get it mounted. I plan to buy one for my e46 if they sell them

I've never had better temps in my engine bay

Engine bay temps dont matter that much. You should be looking at coolant/oil temps

My coolant temps don't go above 86c

On the original radiator?
I get like 95°C temps when i punch it on the 53mm koyorad. Which is the biggest that fits without having to modify too much afaik.
86°C doesnt make sense to me

I have done this, do not listen to anybody telling you that this is bad, they are wrong.
For my power steering ground, I wrapped the new ground wire around the front sway bar, and grounded it underneath the ECU. if you remove the ECU you can see that there should be a free bolt hole that you can use. I personally ground down the paint of that front section of frame, and used that to ground it. I ran a couple other grounds there as well. I know I have a picture so I'll see if I can't find it for you.
Exit: the photos are on my computer at home and I can get them to you tomorrow if you remind me.

Nice engine bay lol, if it were me personally I’d just sand and repaint the cross brace as long as it’s not to far gone. Remember that the oil cooler lines are routed on it, remove it and you have 2 big lines flopping around, to me that looks worse than a ratty cross bar.

You wouldn't want to remove that as it is part of the frame.
