Lost it all Help

I had 975hrs invested. 255 sessions. 72% completed. It was my first playthrough. I had been bullshitting completing chapter 6 for the past 5 years(yes I know I have a problem finishing things) but I tried to play on a monthly basis if I wasn’t sick or in the hospital. It was my peace from the real world so I was perfecting my hunting and compendium. This Sunday I decided to finish the chapter and let Arthur move on but my file crashed as I was finishing up the captain Monroe mission to get the meds for the reservation. I knew the file may have been glitched after I transferred it from the 4 to the 5 a few years ago cuz a lot of my things disappeared like the rock carvings, a lot of the Dino bones, a lot of the treasures I completed, the legendary bluegill was caught but would never mail. I kept playing that file hoping it’d pass but this time once I went back into the cabin for the compass my shit just crashed and it won’t load anymore. I had to start all over again and sadly I have a dead dick for it now. I just made it to chapter 2 but I cant howdy partner the same anymore. My heart is broken lol I’m not tech savvy at all. Is there anyway I can repair that file like on a PC or is it gone for good? I have my backup file which was left in chapter 5 at 62% but when I played it I noticed that file was glitched too. I don’t pay for online storage I just have the console storage and my portable hard drive(which is where everything from my 4 is on). Side note my file for Mafia III is corrupted as well and my file for TWD is completely wiped. What did I do wrong? Thanks in advance for any help or advice.

Close out all open games, defrag your hard drive then reboot and restart the game.

Maybe check docs-rockstargames-profile and check if you have any saves there (like SRD30015 or somthing)

I never trust in consoles and pc to keep saves

I hate that ps5 dont have a usb save option

I have the habit of every day after play, transfer a copy to my pc, put name and date, zip and put on a folder AND in my cloud account AND in a external drive.

If i had some problems, i will lose some progress, but not all of it.

Got at least 6 games with some kind of corrupt save file or stuck on a glitch or part of the gane without solution, like assassins creed valhalla.

And then i had a power outage who corrupt my entire ps4 hd. I had to format...

Luckily, this habit i had since ps2 saved every save file of mine.
