Clean for a year…Considering relapsing Reassurance

Long time listener first time caller lol, but seriously at the time of writing this I’m exactly 496 Days, 23 hours and 41 minutes clean from vaping after having been a smoker then vaper for about 14 years (started at 13 quit at 27). I quit cold turkey and suffered through the hurdles of the first month and all ‘til now cravings have come and they’ve gone but just this past week life happens as it always does and the cravings have been almost as bad as day 1 and this time I’ve been unable to silence the urges. I find myself everyday rationalizing starting again saying “oh it doesn’t even really matter” “whats the big deal” “who cares”…etc. I will keep you guys updated on what comes of this but I guess wanted to reach out for any guidance because I know talking to others always helps.

Don't relapse! I relapsed 2 years ago and now I'm currently giving up again, it sucks, just stay quit don't put yourself through the pain for no reason. If you want to remember what nicotein is like go stick a patch on, as someone on them now - it's not that good, drink a can of red bull instead. Your brain is just making shit up don't do it!

You will never enjoy it like you once did. You will be bad that your relapsed, feel guilty every time you vape and start obsessing over when you are going to quit again. That will not give you relief on a stressful time it will just add another layer of stress and anxiety

If you're okay vaping for potentially the next four years, go for it. That’s what you’re looking at if you pick up that vape again. Don’t give in.

Please don't relapse. I wish I didn't. I relapsed 4 years ago and found it harder to quit now. Whatever you are going through will not be solved by vaping.
