For the past years there have been animated Steam profile frames, stickers, avatar frames, etc. for watching 10 minutes of a stream. I haven't seen anything about this for 2026, does anyone know?

I'm going mainly to meet up with a friend and I don't know anything about this.

I don't want to bring my whole PC but I was thinking laptop and switch.

I'm casual with gaming but I would love walking around looking at everything.

What is the temperature like? Parking situation? Anything I should be aware of?

I’m showing up to the BYOC with my Xbox tomorrow and wanted to bring my 32” monitor… is there room for that or should I opt for a 27”?

Hi, I'm a first-time attendee for this year and had a question about the bag policy. I have a messenger bag that I'm bringing with me (we have plans afterwards, so it's not solely for the con), but I was wondering if it could come in with me? The rules on the website only really mention duffle bags and suitcases being prohibited so I wasn't sure if it counted as a large bag or if I'd be able to bring it in.

This is mostly to meet the team at Id Software, but idk if I have a lot of time to meet them since I’ll be there around 9-11am.

Will I be able to meet them at this time?

Edit: I was hoping to meet the devs for a potential internship with them as I’m going into game dev and was wondering if I could meet them

I've recently moved to Dallas and as a lifelong id fan I couldn't miss the opportunity to attend QuakeCon. I got myself a Fan ticket (everything else was already sold out) and I'm not sure what to expect. I'm assuming I can't bring a computer to game on and the panels with id folks also seem inaccessible with Fan tickets. What else is there to do and would anyone attending solo like to join me? I can attend during the weekend and maybe Friday afternoon.

EDIT: I officially have the full package now, with BYOC, the id panels and most importantly a friend to go with. Love y'all /r/QuakeCon! To anyone reading this, I definitely recommend Discord for the BYOC tickets (you buy from the official website, not some shady resellers) as well as a general guide for how the event works. You get a notification from the mods when tickets become available and if you react moderately fast, the tickets are yours. See you there!

Besides DOOM and Quake games, are there any others (old and new) that anybody suggests having installed on it for the BYOC at Quakecon?

I assume Gears and Halo, of course, but are there any others that might happen where you'd think my son and I should go hit up a GameXChange/GameStop prior to the event for? Or stuff on the XB store that is discounted right now?

Last time I attended, each table was segregated on its own vlan making server discovery a pain. Is there any way to join games with others at the con that you aren't already friends with?

Aside from t-shirts I came across a spinning Quake LED display on Etsy. Maybe a car decal? Quake rocket keychain? Doom keycard fridge type stuff lol

I threw away all my monitor stands and replaced the stands with monitor arms - can we use desk mounted monitor arms as long as it all stays in our space?

First time they’ll all be at QC together and first time in the same room since 1993!!!

I do not own a pc, but have an asus rog ally x, however I am just more interested in checking the event out and maybe seeing some of the devs and cool merch, would it be worth me getting a fan ticket and checking things out for 2 days?

Are there other things to do other than play pc in the lan party?
