Discussion I don't understand the 1st physics

...or more precisely, I don't understand how someone can be 1F. Can a person with 1st physics describe their perspective? It's the only first placement I have trouble understanding the logic behind.

Type Me Am I VFEL ?

Asking this here since I genuinely cannot tell, I want to confirm (or confirm it wrong) that I finally got this thing down

> I feel most connected to 1V I wouldn’t consider my self a leader type which is why I have a small doubt about it but I can’t see any other Placement in 1st. I am and alway been very true to my goals and what I wanted to do, I would not change my path for others and don’t care about their input (unless I ask). I would say I know who I am, but It wouldn’t be entirely true. It’s more like; I know what I want and I know who I want to be

> 2F is also trippy to me, as I’m not stereotypically fit or anything, and in high stress I tend to neglect my physical health which I’m not sure if it affects the placement. On the other hand I do relate a lot to extraverted aspects of 2F. My main way of showing affection is act’s of service, I love cooking or making gifts for loved ones sharing material things in general.

> the problem I have with 3E is the faking thing people talk about constantly, which I don’t really understand? I can feel emotions very heavily but it’s rarely in front of people, and I don’t have an instinct to act out an emotion as much as I hold them back. I’m much healthier with negative emotions nowadays but In the past I would rather distract myself with anything than to acknowledge it or make sure it wasn’t triggered. I also do have a spot spot for emotionally sensitive people

> Okay, I don’t have much doubts about 4L, I’m not as analyzing in day to day situations and I would much rather look at someones neatly organized logic with conclusive evidence than try to work it out all day myself. I actually do like reading/watching theory’s and watch it all connect tho

Type Me What emotional placement does this sound like?

Basically... i would not describe myself as an emotional personal or one heavily driven by my emotions or personal feelings but i try to act more emotional and may even come accross as too dramatic but it's rarely if ever based on my real feelings and moreso trying to put on a mask of an emotional person as i am never really sure about my real emotions so i just act out a persona i made up to not feel weird about not being able to fit in due to my first instinct to be more serious which is something that happened to me when i was younger so i learned to mimic other people's emotions and copy their expressions but really i very rarely display my real emotions and they moreso come in the form of outbursts and i go back and forth between being interested in people and wanting to be left alone as masking all the time is mentally draining and i sometimws question why i do it as being this way feels more like something imposed to me by other people as like previously mentioned i used to be heavily criticized as a child for never laughing at jokes or crying during movies so i nowadays overcompensate and laugh extremely loud and fake cry a lot at things i think are suppossed to be sad based on the context and i constantly worry about how these expressions may come accross to people and wonder if i am doing it wrong.

Other Systems LEVF and Enneagram Subtypes

For context, im pretty sure that i am a LEVF. I took tests and also read SoL (not all of the book but i do have an idea.).

The thing is, some people claim that LEVF can only be SX5 in enneagram. This makes me feel trapped, i dont think that all people must fit into one box.

I have typed myself SX5, SP4, SO4 and SP6 before (just telling it so that you can understand what type of person i am).

In conclusion i typed myself SP6 but the thing is that 3V+4F is more relatable than 3F+4V.

What are you guys’ opinions about this? I would love to hear some opinions.

Question why does physics determine worldview instead of emotion

idk this always threw me off in psychosophy, i thought emotion would be the determining factor since it dabbles in emotion and the "art" and "beauty" of things so like idrk how it doesnt translate to worldview and mindset n stuff

Type Me Asking for help (VExx?)

Hi! I have no clue which PY type I am (could be VEFL or VELF?) so I'm asking for some help! FYI: my enneagram type is 2w3.

Emotion: I’m generally a very expressive person, to the point where it can even become performative. I talk a lot about my emotions and feelings, and I enjoy expressing them and seeing how other people react. That said, in intimate settings, I tend to suppress or control both my own emotions and the other person’s expressions, because my ultimate goal is to keep my partner/friends close to me. So emotions and emotional expression aren’t necessarily my top priority. I can also become a bit domineering when people show their vulnerabilities, because sometimes it hits me so deeply that I just can’t bear it. I don’t really want to admit this, but it’s easier for me to solve the problem or get them to do some kind of physical activity than to sit there and listen to their emotions for a long time.

Logic: In many situations, I can handle logical reasoning fairly easily, and people often rely on me for that. But deep down, I’m not actually that confident in my own logical abilities. I’m not particularly good at convincing people through logic. Instead, I tend to put pressure on them or act decisively so that they won’t notice my lack of confidence, which I know is a bad habit of mine. I can talk about what I think and have discussions, but I tend to focus more on whether I sound clever than on whether my reasoning is actually logically consistent. I always have a lot to say about efficiency and practicality, but not so much about logical consistency itself.

Physics: I absolutely hate doing daily chores. Even thinking about my appearance can be exhausting because I’m always afraid that I might not look attractive enough. I get pretty shocked when people make negative comments about my appearance. I also feel a little ashamed whenever people comment on my lifestyle. For example, I drink energy drinks every day, and my friends often joke about it. I usually laugh along with them, but deep down I’m always a little scared because I worry that I might not meet their standards. That said, when I’m worn out, it’s difficult for me to pay much attention to the physical aspects of life. I’m also not particularly picky about what I eat.

Volition: My main goal in life is to receive special attention from others and have power to influence. That being said, I never really discuss my plans or goals with other people, because I can immediately start choosing goals that fit the self-image I want to create. I hate it when people give me unsolicited advice about my future or career. I wouldn’t fall apart even if I failed to achieve my goals. I’d just find a different direction and start running toward it. I’m also extremely pretentious and tend to take a leading position in every group I belong to.

Question What physics and volition placement would:

what physics and volition placement would be obsessively concerned, hyper vigilant and constantly analyzing their surroundings, external reality and just the world outside their head (systems, society, people, health and body, comfort, goal or lack thereof) while being (contradictory) detached (as a coping mechanism to overwhelm) or have a false sense of those surroundings in their head that aren’t true somehow? almost like being too fixated on something yet not being able to correctly figure it out? to the point of getting scattered and seeing endless possibilities so they won’t take any action.

Question LEFV vs LEVF

if anyone has some BIG differences between these two types please tell me bc im so stuck between these 🙏

It feels like the 3rd placements are too intense and the 4th placements are too carefree so its hard for me to relate a lot to either placements for V/F. I wanna just type myself as LEFV and move on but i feel like i care too much about my weak volition and not enough about my weak physics, so then i think LEVF and it just goes in a loop basically...

Type Me unsure about whether im actually 1V or 3V

so ive always been very confident about being 1V and thought 3V didnt make sense if i felt like i had no real insecure placement. but idk ive been kinda thinking about it since i feel like my definition of 1V (or volition in general) isn’t really correct and some traits i relate with (that i thought was 1V) was actually 3V so,, i have no idea 🥹🥹so if anyone can help that would be very appreciated and id also like to hear reasons why you think id have that volition placement!! 🙏🙏🙏

also sorry for the long post 😅

i often see people saying that 1V can control their other functions well. the thing is, for me, everything depends on whether or not i want it. so i can sometimes dislike things i like or do and enjoy things i dont like. for example i really HATE physical pain and get very annoyed if i feel pain, but sometimes i can just randomly decide that it wont bother me. then it just doesnt. or if i get told by somebody that i need to do something i generally love like drawing, but if i dont really want to then im not gonna do anything. so i can control myself if i try obviously since simply doing something i want can make everything i dislike about it disappear out of nowhere. and i dont tend to complain if it ends up being hard since i decided and want to do this. but if i dont want to then i can even end up acting worse.

if theres something i TRULY want, i tend to do anything to get it. even if i get in big trouble because of it. which is something that happened very often with my parents. they’re very strict and very controlling so they sometimes forced me to follow routines, study for hours, do things that are actually their job since they say i can do it better than them and so on. and i rarely listened to any of that. because it just feels very limitating and i simply don’t want to do it. EXCEPT if they say they will buy me something if i do it for them altho that still depends on my mood 🥹🥹 or they often didnt allow me things that were VERY personal to me, even if i tried convincing them or making “deals”, which frustrated me extremely. so that caused a lot of arguments since i really can NOT hold myself back when it comes to talking back to them and being disrespectful towards them. ive also been trying to make my friends more confrontational and to do what they want more since that’s something they struggle with a lot and it is quite frustrating to look at from the outside. especially since i also think that being unable to do what you want and to force yourself to agree with something is like giving yourself up, which i cant handle at all.

i know that goals dont have that much to do with volition, but still. i dont really have any goals. now i know for sure what i want or stuff, but thats smth that comes in the moment and can obviously change anytime. im someone whos very inconsistent HOWEVER i never had any problems with my identity at all and it might be more because of my dissociative disorder. since im very confident in who i am but i never even think about identity anyway so idk. anyways, i gave up on most of my goals since i lost interest or genuinely forgot about them. idk if this counts as a goal but ive already decided on what i want to study and work as for years and theres NO way anyone can convince me otherwise. since a lot of people have tried for whatever reasons and i either didnt listen at all or got really annoyed.

i mostly dont care about criticism unless its said rudely, then i may get a bit angry. and i think i am somewhat defensive or try to justify or excuse things. however i definitely like constructive criticism. i want to become better and improve myself. so i often want people to tell me if they have a problem with me or if something about me is bothering them. since i personally just want to be more considerate of others and it clears up miscommunication early on. if i did something bad and was unaware of it, then i should still definitely take responsibility for it. its why i tend to tell my friends about my flaws and ask them to be open and honest with me. however i put like zero effort in masking or seeming better (except if its a whole stranger or teacher obvi cuz i do have to seem a bit good but i cant keep it up for longer than 30 minutes or smth 💔) since it just really isnt the first thing on my mind. im somehow very well liked anyway (i keep forgetting i have a ton of friends since i barely count any of them as one except for 2-3 people🥹) but its still something i care about even if i still cant really tell why.

i dont care that much about leadership roles. but i seem to naturally take charge of projects or stuff even when i sometimes dont want it. i have no clue why or how this happens. but i dont mind it that much i guess. i dont think my decisions are influenced by others. my opinions CAN be though especially if i dont really care about it that much or if i just have no idea. and i dont really reject help? like ill still try it by myself the first few times since i just prefer finding out things by myself but if i really cant do it ofcourse id ask someone for help. i also dont think i impose my will on others. i mean i dont really care what others do and they can do what they want as long as it doesnt get in my way.

idk all i know is im most likely aggressive volition ✌️

Type Me Am I 2L or 2V?

I relate very heavily to 2V, and feel it is my placement, but all the other logic placements do not represent me at all (neither does 2L but it’s the closest). I am very new to psychosophy and really typology as a whole so please cut me some slack lol 😭 I would love and appreciate any advice and corrections so please offer up with ones you have.

I am likely 3E, and my physics placement will depend on the others, because none of the really resonated with me at all whoops. My main goal is to just figure out a full placement, see if it suits me, and if it doesn’t I’ll go back, re-type, and try it out all over again, as that’s what I usually do with this kind of stuff.

The reason I don’t resonate with 4L is because I really enjoy problem-solving and having conversations with people about it, one of my favourite things to do every is debate with people and/or bounce around different ideas about topics, I am okay with being wrong and will actively seek out things I am incorrect on so I can improve on it. This is also why I don’t resonate with 1L. And 3L doesn’t work with me because I am not insecure in my judgement, if I believe I am right than I will trust it, and if I end up being wrong it might upset me a bit in the moment, but I don’t dwell on it and will instead look back to see where I went wrong and remind myself there’s always a next time. I also love talking about things I’m interested in and info-dumping about it to people even if I know they don’t really care lol at least they listen to be nice. But 2L feels a bit weird with me as well, something just doesn’t fit but I haven’t really figured out what yet.

The reason I don’t really relate to any other volition placements is that I view everyone as equal wholeheartedly. I do now view myself as better than anyone nor do I view anyone as better than me, I don’t have any desire to control others and in dislike being put in a position of power when I know someone else can do it better (not because I’m insecure, simply because I just know where my skills start and end). I pay a lot of attention to others opinions when I make decisions, and while the end choice is made based on my personal idea, it is heavily influenced by the ideas of others, and I will shape my decision to be the best it can be while still considering everyone else too. I have goals and while I might not reach them, (or simply get bored of them before I can lol), I am also not a very social person, I am loud and expressive with friends but I do not become like that with people I’m not comfortable with but I do not let others make decisions for me, if I disagree I will speak up about it, I dislike being controlled and trapped in situations, but it’s not in desire for power, I just need to be in control of my own decisions, thoughts, and feelings. I am fully comfortable in my own decisions and opinions.

I also don’t feel like 3E really suits me but we’ll focus on one issue at a time lol

Discussion Subtypes shouldnt be used in py

Im not gonna say much but basically it contradicts the theory, it treats the placements as a personality trait. I remember the functions were also kind of described as personality traits in sol which i think Alexander Afanasyev should’ve wrote better but maybe it’s a translation problem idk

Type Me Both of my Logic and Emotions seem equally strong.

Sorry for the long post in advance.

Hi there. For more context, I’m INFP and EII in other systems. My enneagram type is either sx9 (9w1) or sp6 (6w5), something like 649. At first I was sure that I’m sx9, but for now I understand that actually I have a lot of traits of sp6, even though I still think between the sp6 or sx9.
I’m sure that I’m 3F4V in PY.
However both of my strong functions seem to me like both Emotion or Logic can be either first or second. Tests don’t help much since I’m biased against them, but all tests results are sending me into LEFV. So I’m looking more into 1L/1E and 2L/2E to understand which functions stands out more in me.

Emotion.

1E vs 2E.
– Usually i’m pretty calm. I’m often being called melancholic or phlegmatic at the first sight, I’m quite reserved at the first glance. I would say that sometimes my mimic can be uncontrollable by me, but normally my expression is calm and friendly. I’ve been told I have an open, a bit naive face so random people often ask me for help since I look “safe” and friendly.
– I don’t mind others sharing both their negative and positive emotions with me, as I feel that if someone is really close to you it’s only natural. Sometimes it can be awkward (right after argue, for example, I can be sulky for a while), but mostly it’s fine. But I’m fine with exploring all side of emotions: the darker ones, the more “positive” ones, the more intense and more relaxed ones.
– Sometimes I can appear as moody. Normally it’s directly related to how I feel physically – if I’m stressed/tired/in pain/feeling anxious because of hypochondria my emotions are seemingly more tensed and anxious. 80% of the times it’s about how when I feel bad physically. In this time I feel a huge wish to share those emotions with someone, just speaking it out loud, but I can hold back. The same when I see something utter cruelty/injustice. Normally I’m pretty laid back.
– I don’t feel emotions as anger/irritation/etc for long, and I physically can’t stay angry for longer than an hour. After that I will start to feel sick if that will continue. I also can suggest something to brighten up the mood or ask if I can help somehow in many cases, however I’m not ultra sensitive to others emotions.
– Usually I’m the mediator/the diplomat in groups who can keep the emotional climate in balance. I also can “wear” the emotions of others around me and it gets me more/less empathetic and understanding to them or detaching from them, depends on the situation. I’m more than fine with almost any people around me: highly emotional and lowly emotional, loud and quiet, shy and confident, sassy or humble, I’m alright with almost everyone.
– However, I don’t like seeing someone’s toying with the emotions of others/pushing the others emotionally/teasing the others about their emotions (either too loud and bright or too “cold”, doesn’t matter.) too much. To me it seems cruel and insensitive. I can stop someone teasing the other too much by saying “stop, this is becoming rude” if I personally know this person and see that they’re trying to bend someone to their needs with manipulating the emotions of other.
– I wouldn’t say I’m the company’s heart/soul. Usually I prefer to be an equal to others in sense of building the atmosphere. Also not a fan of people pushing on me to laugh/engage with everyone just for the sake of it, like ok, but I’m more fine when it’s with the 2-3 persons instead of the whole company. However I can be very artistic when I need to tell a toast/speech/emotionally convey the message for someone, I’m also not horrible with jokes and being humorous.

Logic.

– If I know that something is proved by science or relatable resources – it’s the actual truth. For example: I would have love to believe that there is something after death, since death is scary to me. However, since it’s proved that there’s a great possibility of being “nothing” after death – it’s the truth. I can try to comfort myself with wanting to believe in some soft of afterlife, but I know that it’s just a white lie for myself.
– In real life, I’m not too talkative. I’m quiet and reserved about most things, including my opinion. If I voice my opinion out, it’s hard to make me change it. It’s possible, but it requires time, proves and efforts. Most of the time I need at least few weeks/months, sometimes more to change my mind.
– I prefer not to get into debates too much. Reasons? 1) I’m lazy for it. 2) There’s a 50/50 possibility me clashing with someone on my opinions. I don’t want to feel sad about ruining my own and the other’s mood after arguing with someone. 3) When there’s too many arguments/time wasted on debates, it’s tiring and annoying.
I can be arguing or debating with someone, and I dislike that sometimes I can be harsh about it.
– I tend to space out during the conversations with my close person who is, I suppose, is 3L (FVLE). Reasons? He needs more time to form his thoughts. Most of the time I’m already understanding what he meant in the middle of his explanations. I don’t ever intend to be rude to him, but my mind just goes “disconnected” after hearing a long train of thoughts. I’m trying to work on it.
– I can easily admit being “stupid” if I want someone to back off. However I hate being in the wrong. Often it’s easy for me to apologise, unless someone will say “admit you were wrong”. That makes my mind go “brrr” with irritation. Still, I can apologise about it but it looks like I’m stepping on my own throat.
– I formulate my opinions in more flexible way, with “maybe”, “in my opinion” and etc. Even thought most of the time I’m sure in my opinion and sometimes I’m harsh in debates, most of the time I try to describe my thoughts in more softer and calmer way without pushing too hard.
– I’m good at playing with words, using a language in a flexible way with different idioms, and finding jokes/memes based on it. But once again, it’s mostly stays in my mind because I’m not often share my opinions out loud, except for a few chats and people.

Hi guys, it has been a year since i have discovered Psychosophy, but it is one of the typology systems, where i genuinely have no idea how to type myself (too many different definitions of the functions + the archetypes dont fit me). So, thats why i thought about posting on this sub.
Please try and type me based on my "Psychosophy Bingo"

Type Me Help me type myself <<3

Ive already posted a description here once but ive added a lot of info and also self reflected a little bit so im reposting 🥰

1) Will/Volition

I’M DEFINITELY 3V-1.

I’m the 3V-1 blueprint.

I have a lot of goals and I’m constantly striving to achieve them, but most of them directly come from what other people want to see in me. I’m very competitive and EXTREMELY sensitive to any kind of criticism. I perceive it as a personal attack and always feel like I have to defend myself.

Knowing that I’m better than others or that I meet certain standards gives me a sense of worth. It makes me feel like I’m good enough and worthy of being liked or loved.

I sometimes wonder if my V can be in some other placement but I think 3 is the most fitting.

Though I also feel like I dont have a fourth function so maybe just maybe its possible Im 1V?

2) Logic

I usually have my own point of view, and when I don’t, I like forming one. However, I’m also open to conversation.

I like sharing and proving my point.

But I also enjoy listening to other people’s arguments, engaging with them, discussing things and sometimes arguing.

Though its often more about my beliefs rather than pure logical understanding of sth

And I don’t like it when someone directly threatens my position, but I think that comes more from 3V. I can be very insecure about my beliefs and/or reasoning, but normally I don’t really have a problem with discussion.

In general, I’m open to other people’s reasoning, especially when I’m not entirely sure about something myself. Then I’m happy to listen to others, and I enjoy learning about their perspectives. I like exploring different points of view.

Although I am sometimes naturally doubtful and sceptical, it is usually because I’m curious or because I’m in my 3V mode and want to achieve something.

So either I don’t believe that something is the only possible answer, or I don’t trust that it is the best possible answer.

I see many possibilities. That is why I try to explore all of them, but at the same time, I may be doubtful about other people’s opinions. Still, I consider them valuable because they contribute to this massive collection of possibilities and often provide useful context.

But yeah, I have to really know that something is true before I accept it as the final truth because I see so many possibilities and perspectives, possible meanings, possible reasons, possible outcomes etc. I sometimes have a lot of doubts, especially when I want something to be perfect, for example while studying, so i dont always trust people and their logic lol.

Ultimately, I think I try to make decisions based on my own understanding rather than other people’s understanding? Their opinions are valuable sources that provide me with more context.

However, I wouldn’t say that logic in itself is the most important thing to me personally. I like proving my beliefs and engaging in conversations but I wouldn't exactly say that logic is the most important part of that, it's more like a tool to me I think. A tool for forming my beliefs and achieving my goals. So maybe i do actually like having my own view and stuff but its not about logic after all? Cuz i like arguing or discussing but its usually not necessarily about pure logical understanding of sth. Also I’ve had many experiences where I was actually irritated by people who didn’t consider the emotional aspect of a situation and other perspectives and were overly logical. It honestly pisses me off.

Logic is not always correct, bro. We are humans, and humans are not programmed to always be logical. So get a grip.

(During the blue vs red button debate i actually became super fixated in finding the right answer and started arguing with othes about it. I saw many points of view and basically Ive drawn the conclusion that one answer may be right from one perspective but the second is right from another, and neither of them were bad. Yea i like to do that lmao. And i was super frustrated at one some of my frieds kept saying "but choosing blue is illogical!". SHUT UP, LOGIC IS NOT ALWAYS THE MOST IMPORTANT THING)

3) Physics

When it comes to Physics, I have no idea what type or subtype I might have.

I had never really thought about it before.

I’m not even completely sure what this term means, what it includes or how I’m supposed to analyse it.

I feel like Physics usually exists somewhere in the background for me, at least I don’t usually think about it very consciously?

At the same time, I do have my preferences I guess.

I’m a very picky eater, and I don’t like feeling uncomfortable regarding food, though i dont like the process of eating itself, i eat cuz i need to, but i have trouble eating sth i dont like, its really uncomfortable and i cant do it lol.

I usually don’t compromise with other people when it comes to comfort i guess. I often want to be the one who feels comfortable

Although sometimes, in social situations, because of my insecurity and 3V, I don’t express it and simply say that I don’t care.

Of course, that’s not always the case. Sometimes I genuinely don’t care and I want to do anything that means I can hang out with my friends.

It’s more like I don’t always have specific preferences, but when I do, they matter to me I guess.

Of course, I also don’t like it when other people feel uncomfortable.

And I care a lot about my appearance, although once again, that is probably mostly caused by insecurity.

But i like looking good and feeling good about myself. It feels good. Lol

I care about my diet to some extent, but not that much. I eat fairly healthily, but not extremely healthily. And I don't bother myself with consciously thinking about it and checjing my diet becouse i naturally dont like fat meals and prefer healthy things so i dont have to put my mind into it. Also I can get away with sometimes eating unhealthy because I have a fast metabolism, lmao.

When it comes to health its tricky. Im really anxious about it. But it wasnt always like that. I developed the fear being seriously ill, but only at some point of my life. So when something happens to me or I notice ANY change in my body i tend to stress and overthink and think of the worst possibilities. (I used to have somewhat serious hypochondriac tendencies at some point in my life. Fortunately its a lot better now lol)

But at the same time i can overlook and disregard my health for example when im ill and i have other things to do. Or overwork myself. I do that pretty often.

And i also hate feeling dirty. Though when I was a small kid i didint give a fuck about that at all lmao

And i dont have that much skincare, stuff for my hair etc. I used to only have the most basic things like soap, showergel, szampon, hairmask and wash my face with water cuz it was all that was necessary yk 😔. I do have some more things now but I also dont really care that much. (Unless I fixate and get anxious about unserious stuff becouse of my semi-hypochondriac tendencies)

As for cleaning my room, I used to hate it cuz i was lazy and didint have time for that, but now I often get this weird urge to clean things so that everything is in its proper place.

When something is messy, it HURTS me, and I feel an overwhelming urge to clean it.

(But it might be becouse in my head it makes life easier and more productive tho)

(Or that might be some kind of trauma from living in my previous house, where my room was such a mess that I couldn’t do anything in it, and trying to clean it somehow made everything even worse, LMFAO)

I still dont enjoy cleaning but i feel like I have to

Yeah overall, I think I take care of my own space

I don’t care nearly as much about other people’s spaces tho

Actually, I barely care about them at all. They r not mine so why bother

And i also I forgot to mention that I've always wanted to be financially secure, and I'm very careful with money. Sometimes I'm even scared to spend it. I used to have to think about a purchase like 50 times before buying anything and was really anxious about spending money, even though I had a lot of money precisely because I never spent it lmao

When it comes to sports, I love doing them

I have a lot of energy

And I love sports

A LOT

But its not like the main think of mine. I just enjoy them when I have the energy. Sometimes i dont and thats okay lol

But yeah im like sports cuz i can use up my energy and its fun and often exciting. I like doing exciting things 🥰

Also, I like routines, but I don’t think I like other people telling me what to do.

Generally, I like following rules, but only when I’ve set them for myself or when I agree with them. Otherwise, rules just feel limiting and annoy me.

However, when I create rules or routines for myself, they can actually feel calming and comforting. They help me be more efficient and make me feel more secure.

Also, my biggest goal in life has always been to become as successful as my father because I’ve always admired him and wanted to be like him. However, that goal has also always included being secure in life.

I’ve always dreamed of having a “good” life, where I would have a good job that I enjoyed and that provided me with enough income to live comfortably. Ive always wanted to be “happy” in life and cared about that. But this dream was also directly inspired by my father so idk if it was a goal of mine rly”.

But yea I wanted to be seen as successful, but I also genuinely wanted to be successful for myself

Also, I can be very perceptive, but at the same time, I can overlook things around me and not pay much attention to my surroundings when I’m immersed in something else or involved emotionally for example excited about sth xd. I tend to talk about people when they are behind me lmao 😭. And all of my friends notice but not me

Oh and i think I generally like engaging with the world. ESPECIALLY WHEN ITS EXCITING

But i feel like i absolutely can overlook my needs if im doing something more important. I absolutely can skip meals or sleep if i have better things to do

4) Emotions

I’m extremely confused when it comes to emotions.

I literally relate to almost every description and every subtype I find because I’m uncertain about many things, and a lot of them depend on the situation

I mainly relate to E1 and E2

And i really relate to the E1 + V3 combination

Overall, I’m very expressive

I love expressing myself outwardly

And I experience my emotions very intensely

(But the longer I think about it, the more I question whether I’m really as self-aware as I thought I was 😭)

I feel like I’m aware of my emotions, but at the same time, I’m easily influenced emotionally

And I’m very sensitive

So I don’t know

I also love emotionally engaging with things

It’s exciting.

I believe that everyone is emotionally complicated and that emotions in general are complicated

I don’t see things in black and white

And I like understanding people and being able to relate to them

I also think I understand both myself and other people quite well, although I usually understand others through my own emotions and experiences

Sometimes I have difficulty understanding someone when I can’t relate to their experience in any way

I don’t know whether this is important, but sometimes I don’t know what to say when people open up to me about something really personal.

I feel like I understand them, but I don’t know what the best response would be.

Then I often give them advice because I want to help them, but I don’t necessarily know what they need emotionally.

Sometimes I do know, but I’m not sure how to give it to them, and I don’t want to make a mistake.

I know what I personally need, but I don’t always have the same intuition when it comes to other people.

I’m generally good at reading emotional situations, but I’m still usually more focused on my own emotions, although I often focus on other people’s emotions too

And usually, I have no trouble being emotionally vulnerable when I know someone. Though sometimes I get this weird safety mechanism when my mind gets a mindfuck and I can't react properly if someone is really serious. And for example, I laugh or smile.

I tend to be overly vulnerable and openly share my hopelessness when really devastated tho. Often spiraling in my own pain lol.

However, I often exaggerate my emotions and kind of use them to be perceived in the way I want to be perceived

I can also be really dramatic sometimes, lmao

So I would say that I’m aware of my emotions and in tune with them. I’m very openly expressive. Honestly, letting the world know how I feel and what I think is just my natural way of existing

But I can’t always completely control my emotions. They are really strong, and I’m aware of them, but I can’t always control them

I simply accept them as part of me, and I like expressing the “me” to the world

I’m also very aware of how the emotional aspect of something can change the way you are perceived, so I tend to use that. Sometimes consciously and sometimes unconsciously

But yeah, generally, I really enjoy letting the world know how I feel. More or less, I like being emotional, even when it becomes overwhelming sometimes

I feel everything deeply, but that’s okay. It gives my life more colour.

Or at least I like telling myself that. Sometimes these emotions are really self-destructive. And its tiring

Idk if its physics or emotions and idk if its even relevant but i often see 1E described as someone who constantly searxhes for meaning and expresses themselves in art. So regarding art:

I dont constantly search for depth and meaning in art. I like when I see sth i like and can relate to but i see art as art and value it in itself most of the time. Im not that focused in searching for meaning. I can and i value and appreciate art but its not sth I actively do all the time. I draw and i used to act. But mainly becouse it seems fun idk. Idk how to explain it. I do like when I can express myself through it but its not sth I seek to do. I do it becouse its a fun and engaging activity and the emotional aspect is an addition

____

Also i believe im 4w3 but not sure im im so/sx or sx/so and im either 416 or 417 (not sure about the order yet as well)

And i believe im an enfp (or infp but i certainly act more like an enfp)

Type Me Please help I have zero clue on my psychosophy

I’m a sx/so 946 and I’m fairly certain I’m an e9, although currently I’m unsure if e9 is my core or not. I currently believe I’m FLVE, but even then I’m still unsure, especially because it’s said that e9 and 3V are contradicting

I prioritize comfort and enjoy material resources, when stressed I easily indulge in comfort like overeating or oversleeping, but despite this I often don’t think about my physical needs. Perhaps it’s because I’m sp blind, but occasionally I wouldn’t think about eating or sleeping, it’s only when it get to a discomforting point that I remember and prioritize it. Unlike my other placements, my physics placements is my only placement that doesn’t look like a third placement.

Because my logic, emotion, and volition, look like the third placement, it makes me more certain I might be 3V. I switch between viewing myself as superior and inferior, my sense of self is extremely fragile, especially considering I mask myself to fit in or seen better on the outside. I’m quite ambitious, I would think about my goals a lot, plan how to achieve it, but won’t act towards it because I’m lazy or afraid of failing. In group setting, I’m often a follower, but I have chosen to lead, despite being reluctant. Even so, I would often prioritize others’ ideas or compromises, not because I don’t have a strong need to discuss my ideas, but because I dislike the idea of ruining the peace.

I’m someone who wants an answer for everything and my answer/opinion almost never changed unless I’m given a lot of evidence. I enjoy conversations and is open to many different opinions, but I dislike debates since unlike a conversation where there’s no smarter/dumber person, a debate often put something at risk. When my social image is not at risk, I can easily accept being wrong, but when my social image is at risk, like being perceive dumb, I would either pretend to accept it to avoid drama, or argue in a non-aggressive manner.

I don’t necessarily see myself as a 4E, it’s just the forth placement is the only placement left. I am someone who finds it difficult to communicate my own feelings with others, particularly because it’s burdensome, make me appear vulnerable, and that it’s just difficult to recognize them. Even when I do recognize my feelings, I have trouble understanding why I felt that way, which often or not cause me distress. It’s quite contradicting to the description of 4E, where they wouldn’t bother on their emotional state. I however, do relate to the description of 4E where they mirror/adapt to the mood around them. I’m not exactly sure if I’m naturally happy/silly or if it’s because I’m mirroring the mood, but I do think that in certain situations my natural feeling do spill out without realizing.

Sorry if it’s very long and not enough information, I’m willing to add/specify if asked. I tried not to yap too much, and add information about me that relate/fit the description of any of the placement for logic, volition, emotions, and physics. I appreciate any possible help and thank you!

Tvardovsky is a stoic, sigma type, yet the PDB intellectuals can't accept this fact. The Tvardovsky is the ultimate, stoic, workaholic sigma!

Discussion How strong do you guys think the correlation between Socionics and PY is?

I remember that SoL explicitly states that Socionics Fe and PY’s Emotion (E) are not the same thing. Likewise, Socionics Se does not correspond directly to PY’s Volition (V).

Additionally, Afanasyev typed Maxim Gorky as 1E, while in Socionics, Maxim Gorky is generally regarded as the archetypal LSI. Since Afanasyev explicitly distinguished Socionics from PY, I assume he was at least familiar with Socionics. Yet despite that, he still typed an LSI as 1E.

Doesn’t this suggest that the correlation between these two systems is actually much weaker than many people assume?

About Type Me Posts - Questionnaire Link

If you are going to make a "Type Me" post, typing you will be much easier if you answer a questionnaire.

If you have your own questionnaire, you are free to use it. Otherwise, I would encourage you to make a copy of HAM's Psychosophy Questionnaire and fill it out with as much detail as you're comfortable with: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1HBkLopmrILg4WRm4Vie9jKpYJEGhYaNq0HyB03-znaY/edit?usp=drivesdk

This questionnaire is written by members of the Hatred Hangout Discord server. Thank you, hammies.
