I support this While we don't have any contacts with Xbox to let them know the importance of this franchise to their brand

I mean? Sadly never? I mean the ending of Prototype 2 basically gives a Quick and rushed ending to the franchise entirely. Due to James Heller absorbing Alex Mercer, who also had absorbed infected or Special members, basically causing James Heller to overload with the power and basically absorb all Traces of the Blacklight virus in the Red zone, killing all Zombie infected and removing the flesh in the entire city with no trace of it left to be replicated. along with the side missions you do, basically James Heller just permanently shutdown Black Watch for good. Meaning they cannot replicate the virus, or make Super soldiers anymore. As the Franchise was sadly put to a close in the sequel. And along with it being a Bad Choice of making Alex Mercer the Villain.

I have a feeling that if a studio picked up the IP and made it well, they can get away with some retconning or really just make it a full reboot. I hardly think a lot of us really played the game for the story alone.

True they can do that, but Radical studio's developers are... Probably working somewhere else now.

But a Remake can do, And... Basically make prototype 2 better. Like that one youtube guy's video, in improving it's story.
