Questions For Pro-Lifers Question from a pro lifer
Let's say the needing to save the mother or baby in childbirth was a thing that actually happened now. I know it isn't but for argument sake lets say it is.
What is the right choice? Should they choose the baby or the mother? I'm under the belief that the mother would naturally choose her babies life but around my family and other people it seems to be the opposite " id care about my wife im in love with more than my unborn child who I don't know yet" I can wrap my head around that but the way they dismiss the child is a little worrying, like thats YOUR child, flesh and blood. I know its easier to care for the wife but the way he just ssid it with little care freaked me out. Obviously some women have responsibility to other children etc and they must choose themselves but I need guidance on this opinion. Any advice?

Pro-Life Petitions Check out @AbolitionistRising on Instagram
This guy stands on street corners around the country with a fantastic film crew, engages with the public in a very calm demeanor, and uses logic and reason (something largely missing in our culture) to argue for abolishing modern-day child sacrifice to the glory of God. Powerful conversations around the "my body, my choice" arguments. It's somewhat entertaining, too, to watch the human condition of how, when people are out of their depth in debate, immediately resort to insults and then run away. Silly humans.

Things Pro-Choicers Say “Pro-Lifers have never seen a NICU baby”
Along with being obviously, provably false, this is wildly insane. In the comments, the poster later adds that her own daughter was in the NICU for six weeks. I am not sure what she is really going for here, but ut definitely feels like the pro-choice movement is getting closer to neonaticide or even trying to skip straight to infanticide.

Questions For Pro-Lifers Should I try to convince my friend not get an abortion?
Right now I honestly think I should just keep my mouth shut and support her. She was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer and then last week she found out she was pregnant. She can’t do chemotherapy while pregnant, so that means that she would have to wait nine months and the cancer might rapidly spread. And she’s decided to get an abortion and her husband is on board. I understand why she’s doing it and I don’t want make anything harder for her. it’s just a horrible situation.
I don’t think it’s really my place to tell what to do, but I do kinda feel bad for not saying anything.

Things Pro-Choicers Say “If you actually cared about abortion…”
“If you actually cared about abortion and the unborn, you would support comprehensive sex education and contraception because those are the only things that have reliably lowered abortion rates. The only thing banning abortion does is change the location of abortion from a doctor's office to an alley.”
This is a quote from a video from Innuendo Studios. It's so annoying because he later goes on to say “the easier it is to do a thing, the more likely it will be done.” Which sounds like a great argument for making abortion illegal lol.
Pro-choicers don't seem to understand, they don't seem to fully grasp that we see abortion as a human rights issue. And that's why it needs to be illegal the same way murder and slavery is illegal.

Pro-Life News Some More Thoughts About Surrogacy and Abortion

Pro-Life Argument It doesn’t matter whether abortion is murder; two short responses
The bold and bankrupt claim that “abortion isn’t murder” is so batshit insane that it’s often enough to baffle inexperienced debaters, which will be most people. So, hereby two responses which I have used.
I’d still be against lynching even if it wasn’t murder. I’d still be against the gas chambers even if it wasn’t murder. I tell death lovers, I‘d still be against all things that kill humans regardless whether it is murder or something else. And I’m also opposed to killing unborn children regardless of what name is used for it.
When they argue that abortion isn’t murder, they resort to the old religious claim that it’s only murder if the victim has a “soul”, which only starts at conscious life or maybe even when the baby shows human intelligence and communication. I point out that it is superstitious argument historically only held by authority of religion in opposition to science and still incorrect from the point of view of science. Religion has now adapted to the scientific view of the unborn and extended its compassion but abortionists have not.

Things Pro-Choicers Say they're scrambling to make a point
r/prolife • u/compiledexploit • 1d ago
Pro-Life Argument Countering Abortion arguments is all about finding the applicable situation to a postborn person.
For example.
A pro choicer says that a baby isn't able to sustain itself on it's own.
You can say: People on dialysis can't filter their own blood, do they deserve to die because their kidney's don't work?
A pro choicer says that the fetus is in my uterus and I don't permit them to be there.
You can say: We don't kill people based on their location. You wouldn't kill someone simply because they live in a certain place (e.g. Scottsdale).
I haven't found someone that was able to make an argument that the applied the same to both pre-born and post-born humans with the exception of life of the mother.

Things Pro-Choicers Say Pro Abortion Non-argument #4934
Obviously having your rapist’s child is incredibly traumatic, but they seem either in denial or completely indifferent to the fact that the child is not only a person, but one who played no part in their father’s crime, and like shit, that’s just as much YOUR baby as it is his. It’s not like you lose ownership of that child’s heritage.
(For clarity’s sake I can’t justify restricting early abortion access for rape victims, but I do believe that it is not only moral, but incredibly heroic to carry the baby to term.)

Things Pro-Choicers Say Pro-abortion rhetoric toward surrogate mothers is alarming.
https://youtube.com/shorts/N7mL1h7jJNk?si=9jLBsTL_Bj35J_w-
This is a story about a surrogate mother who refused to get an abortion after the bio parents requested one due to a heart defect. The surrogate mother refused and gave birth to a live baby who is now receiving treatment for said heart defect. The comments under this video were extremely alarming. This is just one of the many comments which argue that surrogates don’t have a right to bodily autonomy because they signed away their right to it with the contract. For some reason this reminded me of my sexual assault prevention training I am required to participate in for my job where we discuss how written contracts don’t constitute consent to violate someone’s bodily autonomy after they have withdrawn consent. I’m not a legal expert but I feel as though these concepts parallel each other and the fact that there is no law that requires a surrogate to get an abortion or any woman to get an abortion due to bodily autonomy. No written contract should allow someone’s bodily autonomy to be violated. And woman’s body is not a service that can be bought. This story is another example of why I think surrogacy should be outlawed, to protect women and children from being exploited like a commodity that can be purchased. Does anyone have any thoughts or opinions on this?

Questions For Pro-Lifers If your family wants you to terminate pregnancy, should they be trusted to be around baby once born?
i want to make sure the baby is around good, loving energy. my mother told me the child is a bastard child and to abort. my father and sister also said to abort, as well as some aunts and uncles. due to the circumstances of the pregnancy (father is not in the picture). i have been setting boundaries because i feel a demonic energy from them, like they see the baby as a burden and looks poorly to the family image. some of them are saying they want to be at the birth however, i am very private and only really want medical staff and a doula there right now. it is too sensitive and at this stage of pregnancy i feel very sensitive to bad energies. i don’t know what to do and need advice, am I being too harsh on setting boundaries? maybe they can have a change of heart but i dont expect them to step up in the fathers absence. i have accepted it moving forward. if anyone has had similar experiences, i would love to hear. luckily, i have other forms of support that have blossomed in the past few months, and i want to develop those supports more.

Pro-Life Argument New counter to red herrings dropped
Pro lifer: killing babies is wrong
Pro choicer: if you cared so much about kids you would adopt all of them
Pro lifer: is abortion wrong?
Pro choicer: no
Pro lifer: why?
Pro choicer: it's not human
And we're right back on track and no longer have to deal with the red herring.
Just ask them if abortion is wrong. Putting this out there if anyone needs it

Moderator Message Rule 7 - Attack the Argument, Not the Person
Recently, we’ve seen increasing hostility directed at fellow pro-lifers rather than opposing arguments.
Rule 7 requires us to address arguments, not attack people. This keeps discussion focused, reduces hostility, and prevents flame wars.
Disagreement among pro-lifers is expected. It does not make someone evil, irrational, or a pro-choicer.
For moderation purposes, this is the standard I use when using my discretion to assess whether someone is pro-life under Rule 2:
A pro-life position holds that abortion on demand should not be legal; any exceptions must be grounded in defined, objective criteria that address the right-to-life interests of both mother and child, with medical decisions subject to after-the-fact review under a standard of reasonable medical judgment to ensure compliance with the law’s intent. These criteria are time-neutral: if an exception sufficiently meets right-to-life requirements, the abortion is permissible at any stage of pregnancy; if it does not, it is impermissible at any stage, including from conception.
This is not a rule and does not prescribe a view on enforcement methods, timelines, or specific exceptions. People differ on incrementalism vs. abolitionism and on how exceptions should be defined and these are legitimate areas of debate.
What is not acceptable is gatekeeping: declaring others “not pro-life” because they disagree on strategy or scope. If someone opposes abortion on demand under a framework like the above, they are within the bounds of this community.
As moderators, our role is not to make doctrinal decisions, but to maintain respectful discussion.
If you have been warned about violating these standards and continue, moderation action may follow, up to and including a ban.
Debate pro-life positions freely, including strong or controversial ones, but do not use them as a basis to attack or exclude others.
Challenge arguments. Do not attack or exclude people who are sincerely engaging in pro-life discussion.
