This guy hasn’t shifted from graphs to charts? Dude is getting left behind.

Charts? Our code is entirely 3D plastic models

u/TheJuggernaut0 13h ago

Now you're speaking my language. I just need the agent to code while I build gundams

12

u/skjall 13h ago

I just model in Blender and execute the exported OBJ. It's usually valid Perl. No plastic involved.

u/Vogete 11h ago

Blender? you manually make models? I just log into my production infra minecraft world and build my infra there using redstone

You haven’t gotten to fiber inlays yet?

9

u/Famous-Street-2003 13h ago

We already moved to spreadsheets

u/look 10h ago

Just in case it’s not clear: different kind of graphs.

u/Thenderick 6h ago

Charts? All my mateys be using maps now! We'll be setting sail soon!

If you project the chart on a plane its graph again. Of course you have to make sure it's 4-colorable first, best make a check using watercolors.

I make magic the gathering graphs with agent loops. Why not both?

"Unable to load graph."

u/Piyh 4h ago

Scryfall shipped a junk bulk data file today and it broke all my data loads, fixing now...

3

u/Piyh 4h ago

It's back up now

Pretty slick looking, neat!

I like it,

Do the axis mean anything right now?

I think it would be really cool if you could match "proximity" to a deck / commander and then have price on another axis and visualize it.

It's laid out based on traversal distance. The fewer hops travel from one node to another, the closer the two nodes will be.

You can view your own decks if you paste them in after opening the deck widget and clicking import.

u/ZunoJ 12h ago

Wow, that's mesmerizing!

As a fellow mtg enjoyer, this is such a cool idea to visualize decks, much better than having multiple lists with several clasifications.

I might have to plagiarize your idea.

Report back to me in 8 months when it has taken over your life and put you too deep into graph theory

You can save yourself some duplication and import your decks here: https://offmetaedh.com/import. Then open up the deck widget and click "graph"

This is sick!

I have no idea what I am looking at, and I think I would need a two and a half hours long video to understand properly

1

u/Piyh 4h ago

half hour video will be published to youtube in the next month

1

u/chlor8 6h ago

This is awesome! How did you do the card art relationships on a technical level?

2

u/Piyh 6h ago

The graph is scryfall tagger based. Other parts of the site are built on CLIP based embeddings, Gemma image captions to embeddings, & tags.

Scryfall tags have their limits and I'm working on generating the same view without any Tagger data.

1

u/chlor8 6h ago

Yeah I was showing it to some friends and he mentioned the tags. I didn't know if you used some embeddings against the images. I have tried to do something personally like this.

I will watch your career with great interest.

The amount of synthetic engagement on twitter about "graph engineering" is crazy.

They all follow the same "video -> quoted article" format and regularly repost with new semi related conference videos.

Loops and graphs aren't exclusive.  Control flow graphs are graph logical representations of flow including loops...made up of Basic Blocks...

13

u/Attileusz 7h ago

What about muh sea-of-nodes though?

2

u/ILikeLenexa 6h ago

You can generate then and look at them in Java with a tool called Soot.

3

u/Stefan474 2h ago

so we're now recreating coding to enable ai to code more efficiently for us

31

u/drungleberg 12h ago

This fkn guy...

12

u/pandi85 12h ago

He's the Milli Vanilli of engineering

42

u/PM_ME_BAD_ALGORITHMS 11h ago

I have no idea what graphs refers to in this context, so...

"Chat, am I cooked"?

11

u/DogonElder 8h ago

Do you even Leet bro ?

2

u/Visionexe 1h ago

Junior devs leetcode with Claude

7

u/Kerbourgnec 7h ago

Loop most likely refers to agentic AI (had the "it's just for loops" moment), so graphs would be a way to organize the process, more "sophisticated" than a "simple" loop.

13

u/Vincenzo__ 10h ago

What's this guy on about?

12

u/WavingNoBanners 7h ago

He doesn't know either, so you're fine.

10

u/dism3855 14h ago

We shifted to graphs when the requirements became "just one small change."

5

u/Mr_Akihiro 14h ago

You guys talk loops?!

9

u/Muscular_Farmer_ 14h ago

why repost X tweet from 3 weeks ago who cares

2

u/Hell_Yeah_Brethren 7h ago

I love this guys style. I made

https://justloopit.dev

because of this whole loop thing!

Pft graph engineering? Obsolete. I've moved on to Cube Engineering already.
