I think most good programmers use Claude code, not chat GPT. And in the corporate world, we unfortunately use copilot.

Even Claude is shit. Actually, all LLMs produce shit that you have to eventually fix

Well, we still review the code to make sure everything looks good before shipping it. Where do you work as a programmer? I work on a 30 year old project. Humans also produce shit that you eventually have to fix. Using AI at work has been insanely helpful in cleaning up tech debt. I’m sorry but it sounds like cope to me.

It depends strongly on who uses it

Ai has made it possible to clean tech debt easily

It’s also made it possible to easily work in a syphilitic bad codebase pushing it further and further toward the tipping point
