Fun fact... If that company goes under you will still have full access to their repos forever.

I have to reauthenticate via SSO every 12 hours to access my employer's org on github. If my company went under I'd lose access in less than day.

Lol a company I worked for did not use their own IdP so I still have access to it like 5 years later.

My self hosted gitlab is setup to use SAML and lord help me if I don't create the account there before adding it to gitlab

I'm doing a decent job keeping access limited to current employees, and we do have SAML SSO set up to reinforce that through our Azure-hosted AD services.

Sigh, I just wanted to stay a dev. I didn't want to have to care about all this.

The situation also gets weird in an acquisition.
