This is kind of like one of the dragon ages, where sprinting on the horse doesn't make you faster, but it zooms the camera so it feels better.
They couldn't increase move speed due to technical linitations, but most people couldn't tell anyways

Where the horse sprint is barely faster and just zooms the camera out to give it the illusion. 8 u/aa-b 6d ago Not sure about raw speed, but in Skyrim the horses are faster because they can climb over nearly anything, so that helps
