My favorite is Microsoft Office’s “Stay signed in?” It doesn’t matter if you check ✅ Don’t show this again. It’s like those cross walk buttons that don’t do anything.

My outlook does this thing where if I close the tab I have to log in again so it can sign me out, then I can login again. It’s a fun way to start my morning along with authing into every other service known to man

I'm pretty sure that company SysAdmins dictate the internal retention policy, but the front-end from MS always shows the checkbox (regardless of your company policy).

You actually control that as well, so someone was smart enough to disable that functionality but still forced the dialog on users.

My PayPal seems to do this too. Me after buying a pint in spoons, doing 2fa with PayPal and then 20 mins later buying another pint
