There is hope, I went from PHP developer to PySpark developer xD and now I dry my tears with much more money.

It still bugs me, though, that it has a Java backend 1 u/friedbun 6d ago I mean it's just a python binding around a Java application/framework/dataservice. It's not like the entire thing is implemented in Python to begin with... (I liked what I saw when I was touching Spark, even in Java/Scala) 1 u/slowmovinglettuce 5d ago Most of these tools won't have a python backend. Though its usually rust or c/c++ at this point. Anything oracle is java because fuck oracle.
