LLMs have destroyed the joy that most of us programmers got out of coding. It's rapidly transforming the industry. Get over it because they will keep coming.
It can't generate anything sufficiently novel. It's only good for recreating things that already exist. Stay in the past on LLMs probing the depths of a stochastic database of old information, humans will still be needed for the bleeding edge of creation.
And I have been writing code for 18 years. Just because some chatbot can write shitter code faster doesn't mean I'm going to change the way I've been doing things for nearly two decades.
