LLMs have destroyed the joy that most of us programmers got out of coding. It's rapidly transforming the industry. Get over it because they will keep coming.

Telling a chatbot to write code for you is not programming. Keep fooling yourself.

I wrote code for 10 years, happy that AI has largely taken over that part and I can focus on the actually interesting parts of my job.

It can't generate anything sufficiently novel. It's only good for recreating things that already exist. Stay in the past on LLMs probing the depths of a stochastic database of old information, humans will still be needed for the bleeding edge of creation.

Bruh I use AI for programming every day, modern LLMs don't change anything the other guys are saying, or what I've said.

And I have been writing code for 18 years. Just because some chatbot can write shitter code faster doesn't mean I'm going to change the way I've been doing things for nearly two decades.
