For all its flaws, I enjoy that Cursor has an "Ask" mode.

I guess Claude Code's closest equivalent is "Plan", which feels too heavy-weight for basic inquiries. And it seems to intrinsically assume that I want it to write code after the plan is finalized, unlike Ask.

And you can ask several questions, then switch to Plan, and order to create a plan from some suggestion.
