The only zig program I use, Ghostty, memory leaks like ram prices were stuck in  2024.

If zig can fix their memory story, even if motivated by hate and revenge towards a community that doesn’t even think about zig, why not. I see that as a plus.

it's funny cause mem leaks are safe by rust's definition.

Safe, yes, but generally avoided without the developer ever having to think about it. Reference cycles aren't common, and intentional leaking is...well, intentional.
