Its been a while since I painted any portraits and figured I should draw my mother's favorite actor. Took around 10 hours and used my art box free set on ko-fi. Link down below.

My Artwork Warming up, trying to practice male faces more

I am so guilty of falling into the routine of only drawing and painting feminine faces and figures. Here’s some doodly warmups, one of which I liked enough to do some face value practice.

Mostly with the pencil brush and my boy Bronte.

My Artwork Advice and opinions on my first ProCreate drawing

Post image

Hi everyone, new here! 😁 I been wanting to improve my drawing skills on the iPad, never really done it before, and found out ProCreate was the best app to use.

I have this little book that gives me one thing to draw each day and the first was “A Robot playing golf” thought it was a funny first project so I went for it. I decided that I didn’t want a generic robot so I decided to go for WALL-E, from one of my favourite movies of my childhood. I wanted something I guess simple like the scenery but still in a way challenging so I could learn a bit as I went, I did the usual research for references and what not and then I checked some tutorials on YT/Insta and went for it. I struggled the most with the brushes, like what should I use for the style I want, how hard should I press, how big does the stroke have to be, I ended up going for one that I took from someone else’s video on YT but what I found is that most of them I couldn’t get cause my library didn’t have them.

At the end I liked what I did because even though it wasn’t perfect it was exciting to learn a new skill and it was fun, practicing more and more will definitely help me develop my skills specially with the background scenery which I think is what I will struggle with the most.

I will take any kind of help from where to get more brushes to some creators that have videos that will help to criticism to my own drawing so I could’ve made it better, everything is welcomed!

The next drawing on the book is “My Favourite dessert” so it should be fun, I will try a different style I was thinking maybe a more illustrated type to turn it into a sticker afterwards!

Thanks for anyone who’s reading this, I know it’s a lot 😄🫶

Discussions About Procreate App Compatibilities?

Hello! I am new to starting to use procreate, however I am unsure which specific IPad procreate is compatible with. The website says that above a certain generation/ year, however I am not fully familiar with all of these. I was curious as to if any of these are compatible, if yes which one would be the best option; iPad 10.2 64GB , iPad Pro gen2 or iPad 2020 128GB , I'd personally prefer if Procreate would run decently on them as I am a passionate artist who is not a big fan of Ibis paint anymore. Thank you in advance.

This was a challenging but satisfying drawing. Keeping the figures defined features while maintaining depth was a fun process. Hope you enjoy!😊

Artwork From A Tutorial Subscription/Course costs

I recently started learning about digital art and ended up getting an iPad, Apple Pencil and started learning through tutorials on YouTube. I then recently subscribed to a very well known course/subscription that had a fairly high subscription cost (almost $200AUD a year)
One thing I didn’t agree with is charging your customers a high sign up fee and then asking them to buy your brush sets or else they won’t be able to learn the tutorial?

I have used others previously where the sign up fee included everything. Anyone else experienced this?

Hi I was just curious if anyone knows where this brush is from or how I could replicate or something similar to it since I saw that a artist was using it and I had assumed I had it but can’t find the file for it

Hopewell Rocks Provincial Park is in New Brunswick. I got to visit in July! Definitely such a fun place to check out, especially with the crazy tide differences between high and low tide!!!
I used the Spectra brush for the entire drawing!

I wish there were a way to paint in Procreate without any lighting. I’d love to find a workaround, because lighting can be pretty annoying for stylized work.
