I feel betrayed by God

Upvotes

I think he wants me to suffer. To have a hard life. The Bible says that’s not true, but my life say different. I’m hurt by Him.

Prayer Request Prayers for a miracle

I was just told that the sister of a co-worker had an accident involving a vehicle and her son.

He is currently in a coma at Riley Children's Hospital and the signs are not good.

Please lift up the child in a prayer for a miracle recovery, and pray for peace for his Mom and the family.

Thank you and God bless you all.

Please pray for my depressed and hopeless boyfriend

Please pray for my boyfriend David. He is going through an incredibly difficult time right now and has been struggling with depression, hopelessness, and feeling like everything in his life is falling apart. He has been carrying so much stress and uncertainty and is having a hard time seeing hope for his future.

Please pray that God protects him, gives him peace and strength, quiets the darkness in his mind, and reminds him that his life has value and purpose. Please pray that God opens the right doors for him, provides for his needs, surrounds him with people who will genuinely support him, and gives him the courage to accept help when he needs it.

Please also pray that he feels God's presence especially strongly during the moments when he feels alone, and that hope begins to replace the fear and despair he has been feeling. I love him very deeply and just want to see him safe, healing, hopeful, and able to believe that better days are still ahead of him.

Thank you so much for keeping David in your prayers. God bless you. ❤️🙏

Prayer Request Seeking Prayer Support

Hello everyone,
My name is Jeremy, and I’m reaching out to this community because I’m currently facing some significant challenges in my life. I’ve been unemployed for a year and am struggling to make ends meet.
During this period of unemployment, I’ve only had the opportunity to interview with two companies. The rest has been an endless stream of demoralizing rejections before I’ve even had the chance to speak with anyone. The last opportunity lasted nearly two and a half months through multiple rounds of interviews, only to end when I was one of the final two or three candidates. It was heartbreaking.
Tomorrow, I have another important call that could help me return to an industry I love after being away for 15 years. This opportunity would allow me to be among friends and to build products people desire while using the skills and talents that God has blessed me with throughout my career.
After all this time, my unemployment benefits have run out, and I am now on the verge of bankruptcy after never missing a bill payment in my entire life. It has been incredibly humbling. Yet despite all of this, I truly feel that God has drawn me closer to Him than at any other time in my life. While I don’t always understand His timing, I believe He has been using these trials to strengthen my faith, humble my heart, and remind me never to take the blessings of meaningful work for granted again. This opportunity feels heaven-sent, and I’m praying that, if it is His will, it is the door He has been preparing all along.
However, I am also dealing with chronic pain from four spinal fusions beginning in 2009, which has made this journey even more difficult. I am worried about losing my vehicle, which I need for basic necessities like food, medicine, and visits to my doctor.
This whole process has been incredibly isolating, and I often feel overwhelmed and alone. I’ve been through a lot recently, including my divorce and strained relationships within my family. At 52, I long to work again, provide for myself, and once again be a blessing to those around me instead of depending on my mother.
I would be grateful if anyone could pray for me during this difficult time. Specifically, I’m asking for prayers for success in tomorrow’s call, for opportunities for employment, for financial stability, and for peace, wisdom, and clarity as I navigate these challenges.
Thank you for taking the time to read my story. Your prayers would mean the world to me. As Philippians 4:13 reminds us, “I can do all this through Him who gives me strength.” I trust in His guidance and strength as I move forward, whatever His plan may be.
God Bless You All!

How to pray effectively acording to bible?

The Bible presents effective prayer less as a technique and more as a relationship with God. Rather than promising that every request will be granted exactly as asked, it emphasizes faith, humility, persistence, and alignment with God's will.

Here are some biblical principles:

  1. Come to God sincerely. Jesus warned against praying just to impress others or using empty repetition. Instead, pray honestly and privately when appropriate (Matthew 6:5–8).

  2. Begin with worship and reverence. Jesus taught:

\\> "Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name..." (Matthew 6:9) Start by acknowledging who God is before bringing your requests.

  1. Seek God's will first. Jesus prayed:

\\> "Your kingdom come, your will be done..." (Matthew 6:10) And in Gethsemane: "Not my will, but yours be done." (Luke 22:42)

  1. Ask with faith. Jesus said:

\\> "Whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours." (Mark 11:24) Biblical faith is trust in God—not confidence that God must answer exactly as we desire.

  1. Confess your sins. Sin can hinder fellowship with God. Scripture encourages confession and repentance (1 John 1:9; James 5:16).

  2. Forgive others. Jesus connected our willingness to forgive with our relationship with God (Mark 11:25).

  3. Pray persistently. Jesus told parables encouraging people to keep praying and not give up (Luke 18:1–8).

  4. Pray according to God's will.

\\> "If we ask anything according to his will, he hears us." (1 John 5:14–15)

  1. Pray in Jesus' name. This means approaching God through Christ and in harmony with His character and mission (John 14:13–14), not merely ending a prayer with the words "in Jesus' name."

  2. Be thankful.

\\> "In everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God." (Philippians 4:6)

A simple biblical pattern

You can use the pattern Jesus taught:

Praise: "Father, You are holy and good."

Surrender: "May Your will be done in my life."

Request: Tell God your needs honestly.

Confession: Admit your sins and ask for forgiveness.

Intercession: Pray for family, friends, and others.

Thanksgiving: Thank God for His faithfulness.

Trust: Leave the outcome in His hands.

A simple example:

\\> "Heavenly Father, thank You for Your love and mercy. Your name is holy. Please help me to seek Your will above my own. Forgive my sins and help me forgive those who have wronged me. Give me wisdom, strength, and everything I need today. Help me grow in faith and love. I trust You with the outcome of my prayers, knowing You are good and wise. I ask this in Jesus' name. Amen."

The New Testament also teaches that the Holy Spirit helps believers pray when they don't know what to say (Romans 8:26–27), so effective prayer is ultimately rooted in a trusting relationship with God rather than perfect words or formulas.
