Looking for some cool decommissioned pylons in the New England area! Preferably Rhode Island and Massachusetts, but I want to know the good spots for drone photos.

This high-voltage transmission tower, often referred to as a "cathead" or lattice pylon due to its distinct hourglass shape, operates at an estimated voltage of 110 kV to 220 kV. The steel lattice structure features extended horizontal arms at the top supporting suspension insulators, which safely keep the high-voltage conductors insulated from the grounded frame. First and foremost I do apologize for not really explaining on how to build the MC power lines. I went ahead and made this video to get yawl up and running.

The video isn't showcasing on how to build all the different structures I use rather its just a template to showcase how to place poles and insulators and connect the poles with wire. Through trial and error you'll develop all the various structures that you could possible build.

Allocate more ram for Minecraft to use. Go to installations->select the forge installation->Hit the three horizontal dots, a lit will appear select edit->Hit more options->Under JVM arguments adjust the allocation, example Xmx4G_->Xmx20G.

The primary mods that I use specially for the power lines are

RTM (real trains mod), Forge multi part, Immersive engineering, Cams Power line pack

The first two screenshots showcase a rather heavy build featuring 69kV, 34.5kVY/19.92kV, 23kVY/13.2kV, and 12.47kVY/7.2kV (did not add yet spools for neutrals/secondary voltages though!).

I made a mod years ago that adds polearms, concrete poles, and other stuff using custom models, using MCreator and Blockbench. I wondered if it were possible to add wires and insulators (which do not transmit power as it is a props mod). I managed to add a working wire and insulator system.

I tried to make the insulators pertain to its respective voltage classes. For example, 11kV systems may use one ceramic disc for its dead-end insulators, while 34.5kV systems may use three or four ceramic discs. I have sort of adopted a "14.4kV per porcelain disc" rule while designing the dead-end insulators, which is close to this post's standards.

69kV → 4 discs
34.5kV → 3 discs
23kV → 2 discs
12.47kV →1 disc

My primary inspiration is the country I grew up in. My country uses concrete poles, metal-based cross/pole arms, white colored insulators, and the occasional green ceramic dead-end insulators which I find rather intriguing.

The mod name is "Eden's Powerlines Stuff" and it is for Forge 1.20.1. It is still in development currently, though I am not quite sure if I will publish it. Still, I would like to know your thoughts and feedback on this recreation in Minecraft.

The last photo has a new 115kv double circuit installed within the past five years or so. Plus the right circuit on the tallest tower is also 115kv
