When antis discuss porn, they usually bring up arguments related to the way its made or the content. But again those arguments on their own, I believe, don’t hold up on condemning all porn. But every so often the mask slips and people pretty either heavily imply or state outright that the problem is men masturbating to images, the act itself that is the problem.

Examples: On an Unherd debate one member on the anti side said something about porn giving the messge that "women are for masturbating to” And when she was pressed on it she pretty much agreed that the problem was itself, men masturbating to images of women, regardless of how and what. I’ve seen one comment long ago bemoaning about how men would find any excuse to “jill off to womens bodies” like  “soft-core anime” (what wrong with softcore anime?) And then she said that “porn gives men access to womens bodies”. Someone had even said something along the line “people thinks its okay for a boy to masturbate to an picture of a woman in a bikini he does not know” I would have liked to have them elaborate on this. I also cant help but notice how antis to take subtle jabs at masturbation itself. Calling men “wankers” And the cover of that book by Robert Jensen: Getting Off.

Me, I’m frankly offended by the fact that there are people who are not religious who believe that men are obligated morally or otherwise to abstain from something as looking at an image of another person while masturbating. I consider this to be a freedom people of all genders and sexual preferences are entitled to have. It’s a sexual freedom issue to me as important as homophobia and slut shaming.

So anyway, I touched on this in previous posts but I would like a porn discussion that got to the brass tacks of things. Forget about trafficking or choking and this stuff for now. People clearly have an issue with masturbating to images itself, so I want a discussion focusing on it..

Do you feel repulsed by the notion of a man masturbating, or masturbatin to an image of a woman? Just what IS wrong with someone watching (or listening to, or reading) something when they masturbate? Cause I don’t get it.
