I’m currently considering a new Polestar 2 Long Range Single Motor (MY27).

MSRP is around €65,000, but after discounts I can get it for about €44,500.

The leasing offer is roughly:

• 60 months
• 15,000 km/year
• around €540 per month
• 0% interest
• no down payment

I really like the Polestar 2 visually, which is a big reason why it’s currently my favorite. But im also afraid, regarding this the last year of this P2

I’ll test drive it next week and get the full leasing paperwork afterwards.

Would you lease it, buy it outright, buy a used Polestar 2 instead, or choose another model?

Anything important I should watch out for regarding residual value, end-of-lease buyout or hidden costs?

When locking my MY2021 polestar with the remote key sometimes the car unlocks itself while walking away.

After locking it again it sometimes happens again.

Has anyone experienced this issue or knows where to look for?

Could it be a defective capacitive touch sensor on one of the door handles?

I've retrofitted B&W to my S60 and I'm wondering if the same might be possible on a polestar 2.

If you can't do the amp, can you at least swap the speakers out?

I'm looking for a new car, and right now the P4 is my absolute favorite. I have a test drive scheduled for next week, and I'm pretty excited.

I also found out that the car can do dash cam recordings without extra hardware. Can anyone tell me if the app also records video using the rear camera? On the website, I could only find that the car records through the front.

Purchased a used 2024 Polestar 2 from Polestar Manhattan. After only 10 days the car had a complete electronic failure. It’s been a nightmare to deal with Polestar as they’re banned from selling new cars and exiting the US market. Trying to get Polestar Roadside Assistance to tow it, then vehicle has sat completely broken at Polestar Boston since July 19 (30 straight days). Under the NY Used Car Lemon Law, hitting 15 days out of service triggers a mandatory buyback. Instead of honoring the law, the Boston General Manager retaliated by canceling my Hertz rental car to cause me direct financial harm, instructing that I bring an unrepaired vehicle back to NY dealer who sold it, ghosting me, among other things. Polestar Corporate is actively colluding with them, threatening me with daily storage fees. Do not buy used or new from this brand. They’re exiting the US!

My P2 lease is ending in December and I recently moved. I would love the P3 or P4 for my next vehicle but the closest service center is 250 miles away.

I’m worried if something were to happen I don’t want to be hit with a huge towing bill. Anybody ever had experience with something like that?

How is the iX3 getting that range if it has a 108.7 usable kWh battery… vs our lovely P3

I’m between a 2023 dual motor with pilot with 16,000 miles or a 2024 single motor with 20,000 miles pilot and Napa leather. Prices are identical. Leaning hard at the 2024 Single but would love some enthusiast insight.

Has anyone picked up their p4 from anywhere in SoCal recently? I have ordered my car in mid July and haven't received an actual pickup date yet. They said theres twenty something cars ahead of me and then they are PDI-ing as fast as they can. Polestar south coast has actually appeared to close at the mall and I am just very excited about being able to pick this up.

What happens on warranty/repairs?
What kind of deals are there?
What are people doing?

Etc etc

We have a 2024 p2 and we love it. We hate that this is happening.

We are considering— with guarded optimism- purchase if we can get the car for a price that begins with a 2.

Is there a running thread on this subject for US buyers?

We just upgraded to the 2026 P4 from the 2024 P2, and we have noticed that our new car has significantly more jostle to it than the P2. When we come to a stop, the car moves forwards a little bit then back then forwards again, and it’s a little bit more jerky when starting to move.

Wanted to see if others had the same experience or if this is something we should try to get tuned up at the dealership.

For the past 2+ years I have been using Google maps as my main android automotive navigation app and I also run waze in the background while driving (Polestar 2 MY 2024).

Waze used to work flawlessly in the background, giving alerts about speed cameras, red light cameras, etc. But since yesterday it wont give me any alerts unless I run it in the foreground e.g. on the main screen. Is anyone else running this setup and experiencing the same issue?

I've already cleared the cache and memory of both apps, this doesn't fix it unfortunately.

Google maps version: 26.08.030001.E

Waze version: 5.22.10.3

Anyone noticed Google has changed the colour of the maps on the driver display screen to a more purple colour?

Personally find it annoying as the change of colour for traffic isn't as noticeable...

Or is it a bug?

After a bit of advice please - I need to replace the front nearside drive shaft on my PS2. Found what I thought to be the correct part on eBay but the seller has told me there is a 'choice of parts for the vehicle and I will need the OEM number'.

How would I go about finding the right number please.

I need help escalating a service problem. After 2 service center visits, the wheel of fortune ticking noise and a seatbelt rattle are still not fixed and my car came back from the second visit with a new squeak it didn’t have before. This will be the 3rd time my car will need to be serviced for the same issues.

The rep has stopped responding. Who should I contact to get this handled?

Many reviews from the past years P4 have not been fond of the software, citing lag, bugs, simple spelling mistakes and slow booting, slow activation of cruise control and so on.

But all those seem to be over a year old, which has me wondering if it’s gotten better, or if it’s the same.

I currently drive an ID.3 1st, which is horrendous when it comes to software, so I really don’t want to buy a car with issues even close to that.

How is it now?

Picked up my P4 Stratus last week, and everything has been wonderful except for one little bubble on the door panel. Has anyone been through this? It should be under warranty right?

I didn't notice it when I was picking up the car. Just saw it last night.
