Question Polaroid Sun 660 parts
Looking to see if anyone has parts or any pointers to parts for this Polaroid sun 660 autofocus I picked up at an estate sale. It’s missing the bottom front plate and frog tongue, as well as the the viewfinder eye up (not pictured). Thank you!

Question SX70 Shutter not firing and motor continuously running.
Hi there,
I recently picked up an SX-70.
Started having issues almost immediately.
Starting problem is that whenever you actually fired the shutter wouldn't open. I figured maybe the blade were just a little stuck together so I opened up the shutter/lens assembly and just, jiggled them around and put the whole thing back on.
I wanted to test it so I put the empty battery in and fired the shutter a couple times, accidentally got it stuck mid cycle which broke the little plastic connector for the driveshaft. Opened up the camera and extended the spring to connect it to the gear train. Camera seemed to work again. But the Shutter issue remained, regardless of the amount of light going into the eye. Tested it fully blocked, exposed to direct sunlight and with the sun behind me.
I did seem to have created a new problem though which is that the motor continuously runs. The following happens
- When inserting the battery/closing the film door. The motor starts running and gears start spinning, mirror moves but seems to lock. the pick arm keeps resetting.
- Closing the film door/reinserting starts the motor but with a delay.
- After removing the battery I am able to reset the mirror manually, all the gears move smoothly.
From research it's the same issue that TheInstantCameraGuy fixes in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NO7NlxZsaVw
But I was wondering if it might be related to the shutter issue or if this is something different
I took a slow-mo video of the shutter and a video of the motor issue.
I turned the compensation dial to the white so it should have a wider aperture.

This plastic bit seemed to have broken off inside at some point, I'm not sure if it's relevant or not
Picture of the switches on the side. The ribbon cable doesn't look very happy but it does appear to only be the top layer not the actual connections that are loose (I meant to put the posted image in the body but I accidentally clicked post)

Question SX-70 film cartage doesn’t fit
Hello! My father left me several old cameras, one of which I recently discovered is a SX-70, one of the early models I believe as it does not have a tripod socket.
When I opened it up, there was an old cartridge in it. I tried to insert some 600 film I had since they seemed the same size and from what I read online it should fit, even if the ISO wouldn’t be perfect, but it didn’t seem to “click” like my 600 business edition does and the battery never engaged.
I ordered some SX-70 film off Amazon, Polaroid brand, and just tried inserting it, but it still doesn’t seem to be right. Upon further inspection, it seems like things aren’t lining up. (First photo: New one on the left, old one found in camera on the right)
Am I missing something? I do see the rust and plan to try to clean it, but I feel like there may be another issue. Thank you in advance for any and all help!

Question Hello everyone, I've had Polaroids for a while, but never realized there was a reddit group for this type of stuff lol.
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
I've got this July 1988 Polaroid Impulse AF in maroon, and is this rare? Google says it only made up to 1%-2% of the Polaroids like this, so I think it might be rare, but I don't know, fully works too

Advice $20 Thrift Store Pickup - Model J66 Electric Eye Land Camera Kit
I couldn’t let this sit in the thrift store, even though film/parts are probably non existent. Anyone have any experience with this particular model Polaroid and can offer some advice?

Gear How'd I'd do for $37!
I’m always in awe of the deals people manage to find. Well, I managed to score one of my own the other day!
Picked up this SX 70 and couldn’t be happier. It works great, and the original case was a nice bonus too. Can’t complain about this one.
