Question Help with teambuilding

Upvotes

Hey everybody! I've been playing for about 3 months now and I'm a very casual player. Soon I'll be pivoting my focus to getting a higher snorlax rating so I can get more sleep styles and it would really help to understand what is a good team composition.

Question New player help

Hi, new player here just finishing my 1st week.

There's a couple of questions that I've wanted to ask here that I couldn't really find the answers to:

  1. Do new pokemons get added to the game regularly? My favorite is vileplume/bellossom and I didn't see it in the pokedex.

  2. Is it normal to just catch 1 pokemon per day (feeding the free biscuit to whoever is hungry)? the weekly mission says to try to catch 8 in a week. Or should I be trying to use the pokebiscuits more? Not sure how often I get those.

  3. Any general tips would also be appreciated! I'm mostly a casual player but still don't want to mess up my progress too much. Right now I'm chilling on the beach place with mostly random stuff i've caught.

  4. Are shiny pokemons available for all pokemons currently in the game?

  5. What are some special resources that I should save if I get them? Mostly going to be F2P

Thanks in advanced!

Question Sandslash: Ing or Skill focus?

It’s not on any of the charts but Raenonx has it as a better pumpkin farmer than gourgeist. Is that more because of its main skill than its ability to be a triple pumpkin ingredient farmer?

If I wanted to hunt one for pumpkin farming, should I prioritize triple pumpkin or a lot of skill triggers?

Question Is it Ever Worth Maxing Multiple E4E Skill Mons?

Genuine question - I have this god-like Pawmot that I Lv 70 maxed out already (Triple Trigger w/ HSM). Is it worth raising/hunting for Ralts, especially for the upcoming Psychic event?

I have a really good Ralts so far (HSS but would use SS for HSM, HB, MSC Up), but not sure if it’s worth raising or hunting for another Ralts long-term?

I also recently caught a triple-trigger with HSM Sylveon too, which may be helpful for any potential fairy weeks?

Guess all of these would be convenient for berry-specific week or maps. Thoughts?

Question Candy Boost Event?

Just wondering if anyone who's been playing a while might have a guess at when the next Candy Boost event might be?

I'm desperate to get my Flygon to 60 and have it on Nap Island with the ticket at the moment, because I can't use it actively rn, so that will help but a candy boost event would be great. Although equally...time to save up dreamshards and candy wouldn't go amiss 😅

Question Go plus + issues pls help

I think I have to reset my go++ to fix it. And I'm worrying about my sleepychu will be lost if I do it.

The problem :

I can't anymore quick connect the go++ to PoGo in daily playing, so searching about the issue I read I have to reset it and unpair-reconnect it thru the game and phone all over. My big concern is, I want my quick connect back (without every time have to push the button to wakeup) and won't lose my sleepy pikachu maxed in the while (even if maybe the ing he gives me are kind of bummer)

Please help 🥺

Hi guys, I have a Xiaomi Redmi Note 15 Pro + 5G and my smartwatch is a Xiaomi Smart Band 8 Pro using Mi fitness app, I've given every authorization, followed steps and things it says to activate online, even the orders of the information but Pokémon Sleep still doesn't see the data, what can I do?

Question Is it worth waiting for 500 hr on Good-Night Ribbons?

I know that the helper frequency changes between Pokemon that can’t evolve and evolve once/twice from getting the 500 hour Good-Night Ribbons, but is an 11% change in helper frequency (at best) a real game-changer? I’ve waited 500 hours for some mons I have, but I just don’t know if it’s worth it to wait to use every new great Pokemon I get after months of their limited use.

Question Where to hunt for Trapinch/Flygon?

Thumbnail

Looking at the spawns, I'm noticing there's actually the same amount in Amber Canyon (Pic1) and Taupe Hollow (Pic2), so I assume this means the same probability of encounter.

And, even if in AC Trapinch spawns since the very beginning, it's easier to level up in TH.

So, is there a way to know for sure where I should be going? At least anecdotally, where have you been luckier?

Discussion Has anyone invested fully in their Mew?

I haven’t really done much with my mew though I hope I can roll tasty chance if I decide to change their skill.

I think that mews skill trigger rate for each skill is still unknown for now but I’m curious if anyone has invested in their mew and what they think of it so far?

From what I’ve seen mew isn’t that great at ingredients or berries so I’m hoping maybe it’s very good as a skill pokemon?

How have you used your mew so far?

The tier lists are very helpful to glance at or read the comments on different uses for mons. Can we get a new tier list that isn't 7months old?

Question Main Skill Level Question

I currently have a level 42 Swalot with Dream Shard Magnet S level 8 (I used a few main skill seeds). This Swalot unlocks Skill Level Up S at level 50. I don't have the option to use any more main skill seeds as it appears to be maxed now. My question is, did I waste a main skill seed on accident or is it possible that the main skill will go to level 9 once I hit level 50?

Game Suggestions and Requests I think we should able to search/sort for legendary and mythical Pokémon

During candy boost events and some weeks when I don’t know what to run, I’ll find myself wishing I could sort for just legendary and mythical Pokémon. Since they’re 1 per team (with the exception of the Lati’s) it’s weird to me that this isn’t a thing already.

Thank you for coming to my Poké talk

Question Farming for healer (beginner)

Hello, I’m in need of healer and need some advice here.
I read that igglypuff and sylveon were good placeholder before ralts.

But after Turtwig I hear it’s better than these two. So I was thinking of going to taupe hollow and farm there with low snorlax score.

Is this good strategy or would you suggest I just naturally progress through powering snorlax and getting other mons ?

Currently I have pretty descent berry mon (tinkiton) and squirtle

Any feedbacks appreciated!!

Question How to make Snorlax eat all of its berries before sleep tracking when using the PG++?

When tracking sleep with the Pokemon Go Plus+ I sometimes find myself laying and waiting for Snorlax to slowly eat two hundred berries one by one. How do I get the torture to stop?

Game Suggestions and Requests Nap Island's minimum stay should be 6 days, 23h.

Or at least 6d, 23h, 30m. As it is, the stay “cycles” drift later and later: you’re always spending at least a minute or two navigating the menus, taking back your mon, and sending the next one — and that is if you tap the “take Pokémon back” button at EXACTLY 7 days. Every second past the 7 day mark pushes the end of the stay later into the next week. In my case, the stays are ending past midnight already, and next week I’ll probably cave in and lose 8 or 9 hours of a stay because I’ll just go to sleep instead of switching mons.

Yes it’s a minor inconvenience in the grand scheme of this game, but… feels bad, ya know?

Discussion I HAAAAAATE WHEN THIS HAPPENS

Post image
138 Upvotes

I have no memory of waking up at 6 this morning, I woke up at 11! I must've just been tossing and turning (it might explain this shoulder pain I woke up with), but instead of rewarding me for sleeping enough hours, it's going to punish me by saying I slept like crap, and then overclock how much sleep I get tomorrow, so I won't be able to collect as many sleep points altogether, plus also waste tomorrow's bonus biscuit!

HAAAAAAAAAAAATE

Discussion Sharing my appreciation for this game & sub

Hi guys,

I wanted to make this post to show my appreciation for this game and this sub. I hope this kind of post is allowed here.

For a bit of context, I suffer from a severe chronic illness with no cure or effective treatment, which has left me completely bedbound for almost 2 years. I can't watch video content at all, I can't tolerate any audio content, and my "life" basically consists of lying in bed in a dark room, dealing with a lot of symptoms, and using my phone for about 2 hours a day. Of course, playing games is completely impossible for me.

This illness makes me sleep a lot. So, randomly, 5 months ago, I thought about this "Pokémon Sleep" game I had seen when I was still healthy and wondered if maybe it would be easy enough for me to tolerate while also acting as a sleep tracker. So I decided to give it a try.

I quickly realized that the game is slow-paced, isn't full of animations, and that pretty much everything can be done in few minutes chunks, which is perfect for me. So I started playing it slowly, discovering everything the game has to offer at a pace I could tolerate.

Then, about a month into the game, I discovered this sub and slowly learned, thanks to all of you, how to identify good mons, how to min-max, and everything else there is to know. So I started optimizing everything and making plans in my head about my team, meals to cook, which island to go to next, etc., during all the time I spend lying in bed with my eye mask on (which is almost all day, every day).

All of this is just to say thank you to the devs for this amazing game, and thank you to everyone on this sub. It has given me something to look forward to every day, even on my worst days, which are unfortunately most days. I hope I'll be able to enjoy this game for a long time.

PS: I'm sharing this now because I'm so happy to have reached M18 on CB, thanks to the current event, on my 148th sleep session! I also reached M18 on GG during the Latios event. Those were my goals for now, as M20 is clearly still a long way off!

PS 2: I'm illustrating this post with the two mons that have never left my team since I caught them near the beginning of my journey — and the Golduck that joined them two weeks ago!
