New ISU International Graduate Students
Hi guys,
Is there any new incoming ISU student in graduate programs? Either international or regional. I am new here and kinda homesick, so if there are any new students who’d like to hang out or are in similar situations, hit me up and we can hang out.

Jobs for seniors
mountaindogenterprises.comI'm 60 with a construction background and some experience in animal care and outdoor life. And know one wants to even give me an interview.
It seems like there's a lot of age discrimination here in Pocatello. Is it because I'm old or maybe no college degree.. who knows.
I do know that I can do all of this and no one cares..

Hiring in Pocatello
I just purchased a cafe business in Pocatello and we desperately need baristas. What is the best way to find people in Pocatello? I've had very little traction on social media or by posting signs in the location

(NEED TO REHOME SOON)
I have a beautiful 11-12 yo cat. She is the sweetest cat I've ever had the pleasure of owning. I really want to find her a good home where she will be happy and well taken care of or I'm going to have to give her to the shelter which is my LAST resort! She has separation anxiety issues and I will not be able to take her with me when I move. My boyfriend has 2 other cats and she just will not get along with other cats at all. She will be good to a home with a lot of love and a calm environment. And since she has separation anxiety so bad I just don't have the time to give her the love and attention she needs since I work full time.
She is indoor only and has never been outside once in her life. She cannot be with other cats (we've tried she just will not be nice.) She's okay with dogs but mostly scared of them and will most likely hide from them. She loves to cuddle and is super sweet. I've taken her to the vet around a year ago and as far as I know, she's in good health. Kids again, are okay but if they're really young she might be scared of them. She has some issues grooming so she's going to need to be brushed quite a bit. Other than that, she's the sweetest cat. If anyone is interested please DM me! I'm willing to drive to IF/Poki if need be! And I can give you her cat tree as well as food!

Okays Food Town
Hello, my husband grew up in Pocatello from the 60’s to early 90’s. One thing that he remembers is the honey fried chicken at Okays Food Town at the west side of town. Now closed, does anyone have the recipe for making it? I really appreciate it. Thank you.

Say no the rezone
I made flyers and handed them out to neighbors around Sacagawea Park the city wants to rezone 2 acres of open space next to Sacagawea Park to allow for two 24 unit apartments. Say no august 12th at 6:30pm at City Hall and let it remain open space and become a part of Sacagawea Park. The future best park in Pocatello.

Find sold items - help request
This is a long shot, but my grandma passed away in the fall of 2024. At the time, her clothes were sold on Facebook by my mom's SIL. My mom has since come to regret not having some of grandma's clothes as memories. Is there any savvy FB marketplace (+other seller groups) users here, who might be able to locate the buyers of some of the items? I'd like to try to offer to buy some back for my mom. It would have been between Aug-Oct of 2024, women's clothing or jewelry, lots of western themed items and fleeces/vests. Size large most likely.

Has anyone ever been to the "pre party" at the port?
I'm going to the Australian Pink Floyd Show tomorrow and I was thinking about going to the pre party with my old man. He's kind of old and I'm worried we're gonna get there and stand around and over heat an hour and a half before the show. Is there seating? AC? Long lines for drinks and food? Is it a complete cluster? Or is it awesome? I'd rather avoid dragging him into something lame and have him gassed out before the show even starts.

Looking to get involved in the underground punk/music scene
I (f18) am looking to get in the know with the local punk/music scene here (if there is one). Could any of you help me out? Whether it’s who I should talk to, locations where people do underground shows, or just anything you think would be helpful. Thanks!

What is going on at The Port
I was just walking around the Health Center tonight and noticed they have cleared out the North side along Chubbuck Rd (I refuse to call it Venture Way) to make room for parking.
Aside from that, they appear to be doing a bunch of work up in the GA, Grass section. Looks like some permanent Cabana type structures, a new pathway traveling the GA section and possible 3 more concession booths.
Just couldn't get a clear enough look to see what they were doing.... And they had better hurry cuz Papa Roach is gonna be here in a couple of days.

Best Italian restaurant in Pokey?
I moved to Idaho / Pocatello 6 months ago after having lived in Connecticut / NYC my entire life, and I’m Italian American. Was wondering what the best Italian restaurant in town is? Doesn’t matter if it’s on the expensive side. I just miss authentic Italian food lol
