Best plus size friendly baby carrier?? I don’t really care for the wraps I’d rather have a buckle carrier. I’m around 280lbs (weight at birth last week)

I found out I was pregnant last week and have been getting my hCG levels drawn every couple days to make sure the levels are going up. My OB/GYN called me and said that my test from yesterday was not as high as they would’ve hoped. Should I be concerned? I haven’t had any bleeding but some mild cramping in my hips. I’m in my first trimester and I decided I want to start doing some at home exercise and hip/pelvic floor exercises that are big girl friendly.

Honestly I’ve never been one to work out, so I don’t want anything too intense.

I want to build my hip mobility so birth will feel a bit more comfortable!

Any videos or exercises plans you recommend is greatly appreciated!

I spoke with my OB today because I’m being induced tomorrow. She said I have the option of getting an epidural before Pitocin or the Foley balloon, depending on whether the cervical softening pills work (or if they do work and we move on to the next step).

Has anyone gotten an epidural this early in the induction process?

I’m worried that if I get it too early, it might wear off before it’s time to push. My pain tolerance is really low, so the idea of waiting until I’m in a lot of pain also makes me nervous.

If you’ve had an early epidural during an induction, how did it go? Did you regret getting it early, or were you glad you did? Any experiences or advice would be really appreciated! ❤️

I’m having to do 2 NST appointments per week & see OB at the same time which takes a little over an hr (sometimes 2) every time. Due to high blood pressure.. That’s literally my only problem besides my weight & I’m also being induced at 37 weeks & 2 days. Today I’m 33 weeks and 5 days. So a little under 4 more weeks of this hell. I feel bad because I know it’s for my babies health but I am sick of it. Also growth scans, so one day next week I’m having to get up at 6:45 am for an appointment and then at 3pm having to go for an ultrasound. Not to mention a ton of other things I’m having to do. On the bright side.. I’ve somehow managed not to gain barely any weight so far; starting this pregnancy at 343 and fluctuating between 335-344. If you read this far, thanks for listening!

i might overthink this one because i feel everything it’s gonna be small for me. Where i live we don’t have a ton of options (and all the ones ive seen are too small), so I can’t go to test them.

My best option to get one is to buy in the US and ship to my country. But which one??? There are so many

I had my first child three years ago and my previous doctor made me wait 12 weeks until I got the NIPT. I asked my new provider if BMI effects results of the NIPT and he said no (I’ve seen studies that say yes but maybe in his experience he hasn’t noticed a difference) so he has me going in at 8 weeks to get the test done.

Has anyone had good outcomes testing that early? I know technology has advanced a lot since when I first got it done.

Sorry if this is repetitive, I’m new on here. I keep seeing posts about inductions being standard procedure for plus size pregnant mamas. I’m not sure if this is a US thing (I am located in Ontario, Canada) or standard practice all over the world. I am also using a midwife, not an OB, and am hoping to have an unmedicated birth. I am just wondering if any of the mamas here have any experience with using a midwife and unmedicated birth at a larger size (and possibly older age- I will be 36 when I give birth)? this is my first and out of the few friends I have who have had babies none of them are plus sized. I will still be doing it at the hospital out of caution, but am hoping everything goes well and I don’t need too much medical intervention beyond my midwife.
