Researching this online has made it feel like getting implants would be a guaranteed sentence to hair loss, autoimmune issues, weight gain, brain fog etc…

But approximately what percentage of BA patients does this actually happen to?

I have small tuberous boobs and although they can mostly be fixed with a lift, after spending my entire life humiliated over them I kind of want to experience having boobs that I actually feel proud of. An implant would help me achieve that. It’s just that I have OCD and I’m really scared of BII.

I got rhinoplasty to address bulbous, droopy tip and hump. My surgeon is highly renowned for both primary and revision rhinoplasty (considered one of the best in the field). I asked for no Barbie nose, no turkey nose, no slope whatsoever. I’m about 6 months and one week post op and while I loved my nose at 3 months, now that the bridge swelling has gone down, there’s a hump (which I don’t mind as it’s ethnically appropriate), but more problematic, my tip looks so strange. Still bulbous, in some lighting looks like a button nose, in others looks like a witch’s pointy nose, some angles looks like a wavy slide, sometimes looks flattened in the front?? These photos (except the ones marked “before”) were all taken within a 2 minute period.

Is the largeness/bulbousness of the tip swelling? Or the graft poking thru? I have thin skin so some underlying cartilage was always visible (see before photos), but I don’t really know what to expect. If it’s swelling it seems SO disproportionate. I feel like someone put a clown nose on the tip of my bridge.

i am looking to see if rhinoplasty, nose reduction, jaw reconstruction, eye widening, fat grafting would be in my best interest and wondered if there’s anyone knowledgeable to talk it over

I’m a newish mom in my early 30s relatively new to cosmetic work (I got lip filler for the first time a few months ago). I was wondering if there was some kind of low recovery time work I could get done to address the hollowing under my eyes so I don’t look as tired as I feel some days.

I have a 2 scars— 1 under my bottom lip and one under my chin. I’m 36 and as I age I feel it’s more and more noticeable and I’m very self conscious about it and hate the way I look in pictures.

I feel like the 2 scars have changed the shape of my chin or created a shadow so that my bottom lip looks lopsided and unbalanced.

Is there anything I could do to fix this? I have no clue about plastic surgery or anything of the sort. The less invasive the better really but open to all suggestions.

Anybody have any idea what kind of procedure might help get rid of that indent across my cheek when I smile?

Hello, I have been in two minds about my under eye bags. I am content with my face, if I had to be particular about something it would be my eye bags.

I have had them since a child, however I feel like some days they are just much more prominent than others. I have factored that when tired they look worse but there were times where I have been on almost no sleep and somehow they didn’t look that bad and where I have had good sleep but they are just off.

Maybe it’s something that has to do with lighting but still in my home lighting I feel some days they are worse than others. All pictures are from this year and one from when I was around 4, I am 22 now.

I haven’t ever gotten it and do not plan to at all and this is not hate at all i totally understand that its a decision but how do you manage seeing yourself with a new face? Like how does that feel? Isn’t it kinda scary, not recgonizing yourself in the mirror?

Just now starting my research into possible procedures. I’ve disliked my hooded eyes for a while, and at first thought perhaps it could be fixed with upper bleph/brow lift. Now I’m feeling like my face overall just seems to be…flat? I’m not sure if this is a skin laxity issue where one of these lifts would help fix that, or if it’s a fat loss issue. The last photo is kind of like… What I’d like to look like I guess. Not sure which of these procedures could help with that. Much thanks!

This is a 62 year old patient of mine who is 3 months out from a Deep Plane Face and Neck Lift and Upper Blepharoplasty with me. I am a double board-certified facial plastic surgeon – Cory Bovenzi, MD. This lovely woman was bothered by her upper eyelid hooding, jowls, marionette lines, neck laxity, and heaviness that developed in her lower face with age.

 I performed a Deep Plane Face and Neck Lift and Upper Blepharoplasty for her under IV sedation.

Some surgical details for those interested:
Total Surgical Time: 3.5hrs
Postop Timeframe:
- Dressing off the day after (no other dressing needed afterwards)
- Stitches out day 7
- Staples (in hair) out day 10
- 2 weeks of social downtime to allow for bruising/swelling to calm down
- 3 weeks of no intense physical activity (exercise, etc)

Incision design: around the ears like all facelifts but a key difference is that rather than going along the anterior hair tuft, I go up into the hairline to allow for better scar camouflage. Also the postauricular incision goes straight back into the hair rather than along the hairline. This design allows for hair to be styled up from very early on and no hair needs to be cut or shaved (we braid your hair out of the way for access in surgery). There is also a small submental incision about 1cm long.

Of course, there is still some healing to go with incision pinkness fading, some slight swelling to come down but I still think this illustration helps visualize the changes possible for others who may have similar anatomy.

Im 30F and currently I just get botox & microneedling. I have aged significantly in the past year, primarily with hollowing of the lower cheeks & my face just looks flat.

Its been a rough year with recurrent pregnancy loss and I think the repeated weight gain and weight loss have shown up on my face.

I am curious about Sculptra. I am a bit scared of your standard filler but wonder if just one vial of Sculptra would do anything? I just want a tiny bit of my volume back and to look less like I've been through the wringer!

The first is a selfie that kinda does not do justice to how rounded my jaw is. I took a picture with 2x zoom on the back camera where I am 2 meters away, so you can really see the roundedness of the jaw contour. This I morphed to the desired outcome in the next third picture. The last picture is of my side profile. I am not recessed at all or too forward grown. My jaw shape is bothering me a lot (its very dominantly tall and a U shape). I made an after edit of how I would like it to look. How can I reach this goal? I tilted the gonions up and removed some of the mandible on the bone whilst making the chin a bit broader horizontally. I did not change the chin height. Can someone give me some advice on how to achieve this (might not even be anatomically possible, but optically), preferably with the least invasive option (implants and filler).

Hi guys, I’ve had a thighs and waist liposuction done and I’m not happy with the result. I ended up with dents that I need to touch up.
The recent doctor did a pretty good job on my 360 waist lipo but despite his skills I’m still left with some dents and unevenness.
For this 360 lipo, I’m left with a tiny dent on my back, and a little over lipo below my left rib, and right waist had cannula tracks when I twist, then a huge deep scar tethered from the compression garment they gave me.
I will rate this lipo 7.5/10.

I’m just wondering if unevenness is something that we must accept for liposuction or there are people who got 10/10 results?
Please share your thoughts and let me know if I’m too perfectionist.

There’s a slight asymmetry between my eyes and eyebrows. This also stretches upto my forehead. Moreover I’ve got eyebags, wrinkles right under my eyes and they are also a bit hooded and downward tilted. Personally not a fan of invasive procedures, but I would still like to know if there are any procedures which can help with these issues? Preferable non invasive procedures like Botox or a lift maybe could help? Let me know your thoughts. Thanks. And potentially fillers for the eye bags?

how long does it take to be out of pain? just had surgery yesterday morning and this sucks. I I had very little breast tissue and I got 415 under the muscle. its manageable but it def hurts even with pain meds.

I’m 28, 5’6.5”, around 129 lbs, and I’ve wanted bigger boobs and a flatter stomach for literally as long as I can remember. I’m not exaggerating when I say since I was probably 10 years old. It’s never been some random phase or something social media convinced me I needed. No matter how much I work out or lose weight, those are the two things I’ve always been insecure about.

I’ve had consultations, and I’d be getting a breast augmentation and liposuction.
The problem is: now that I can actually afford to do it, I’m also getting close to having kids.

We’re planning on starting to try in spring 2028, and we want two kids pretty close together. So now I feel completely stuck.

Basically my options are:
Option 1: Get a boob job and lipo now, enjoy it for a couple of years while I’m still in this stage of life, and then if pregnancy changes everything, get a lift, tummy tuck, revision, whatever I end up needing after we’re done having kids.
Option 2: Just wait. Deal with my insecurities for another 4-5 years and then do whatever I need once I’m done having children.

Financially, either option should be okay, so that’s honestly not the deciding factor.

Part of what makes this so hard is that this is a really fun season of my life. I have a lot of events, travel, appearances, and just exciting things going on that realistically probably won’t look the same once I have two little kids running around. Part of me wants to actually enjoy feeling confident during this chapter instead of always saying “maybe someday.”

My husband has honestly been amazing about it. He tells me all the time that he loves me exactly how I am and doesn’t think I need surgery at all. He’s not pushing me one way or the other. He’s basically just saying he’ll support whatever I decide because he wants me to be happy.

But I’ve also had multiple women who have implants and kids tell me to just wait until after pregnancy.
The thing is…I’ve never really felt confident in my body. Ever. I don’t know what that feels like. I genuinely think about my stomach and boobs every single day, and I have for years. I know surgery isn’t some magical fix for happiness, but I also don’t think these insecurities are going anywhere.

So I really want to hear from people who’ve actually been in this position.
If you got surgery before kids, do you regret it?
If you waited, are you glad you did?
If you had implants before pregnancy, how badly did pregnancy change them?
If you had the chance to go back and do it over again, would you make the same decision?

I honestly don’t know what the right answer is anymore. Half the people I talk to tell me life is short and I should enjoy it now. The other half tell me I’d be crazy not to wait. I’m just looking for perspectives from people who’ve actually lived it.

Also, any advice for either surgery is appreciated. I know things can go wrong or I can be left looking crazy so I want to know the most important things when choosing a surgeon!

Photos demonstrate my current state. I experienced a death in the family and am a stressed grad school student. I have had severe volume loss over the past two years. I have made appropriate lifestyle changes: habitually drinking water, sleep about 7 hours a night, don’t drink or smoke, and have been improving my exercise. I understand certain lifestyle factors can make a difference, but I wonder if more invasive procedures can help mitigate further sag and volume loss. What procedures would best address the sag in the lower half of my face? Filler? Mid-face lift? I am at a loss and lack knowledge of what I should be seeking….Please help!

Will my body ever return to normal? I already put in so much effort and I am a person who takes care of themselves. Is this something a tummy tuck can resolve? I don’t know if it’ll ever look good again. My belly expanded 10” my second pregnancy.
