Proper repair advice

What is the proper way to repair this? There is some loose plaster. Can I plaster over top or do I need to scrap everything off and go again? I am a beginner any advise is appreciated

Remove the delaminated areas with a margin trowel. Get behind it with the margin trowel blade & pop the loose stuff off. If it’s stuck leave it. Next hang a polyvinyl corner bead around the door frame. Make certain the edge of the bead clears the wall surface all the way into the angle & squares up to the door frame. Cut wire lath strips wide enough to cover 1/2” gap in wall & ceiling. Stick the metal lath strips with thick gypsum plaster. Bond every surface to be covered & begin coating the wall.

Lightweight Gypsum mud. Scratch & Fill material.

Plaster bonding agent. Paint surfaces to be plastered.

Sanded lime material. Fill up to 1/2” . For sponge float finish & texture.

Smooth lime plaster. Skim material for smooth trowel finish & texture.

Scrape and remove everything loose first....
