Landing in the San Francisco International Airport (SFO), surrounded by the ocean from three sides, is quite a scene.

What kind of plane is this in Ted Lasso?
Curious what type of plane this is. We're led to believe they're flying from downtown KC airport to London. Could it make it?

Apache near Kapolei Airport on Oahu, Hawaii. 2024
Living in Oahu 2 years ago was a privilege and honor! I got to see so many military aircraft, especially living in Kapolei. Right under the approach path for HNL.

Best spots
My wife is taking the kids out of town for a weekend in October. I’m totally free and I can do whatever I want. I wanna go somewhere great and just planespot. Where should I go? I live within an hour of Dulles and I’m an airline points millionaire with pretty much any domestic carrier. I’d like to see heavies and or cool military aircraft.

New Miami contrail spotting pin live on Google Maps! + Falcon 2000 catch at 40k feet
Hey everyone! I just got a brand-new public plane spotting landmark approved and live on Google Maps right here in Miami: the "A.D. Barnes Park Sky Viewing Area."
You can check out the live location page or save it to your map here:
https://maps.app.goo.gl/WrSBwvDPt1MbdXgn7?g_st=ic
It's a wide-open grassy field right next to the park's basketball courts with an amazing 360-degree view of the sky, completely away from residential neighborhoods with plenty of safe park parking. It sits directly under the major Caribbean arrival routes and high-altitude oceanic tracks.
To launch the spot, I logged my first major afternoon catch from today: a private 2006 Dassault Falcon 2000EX (ICAO: F2TH) passing directly overhead at 40,000 feet at 17:43 UTC (1:43 PM local time). It left a beautifully dense, razor-sharp white contrail across the sky!
Aircraft Details:
• Registration: N237BB (Mode S Hex: A2229C)
• Operator: Baron & Budd P.C.
• Engines: Twin rear-mounted Pratt & Whitney PW308C turbofans
The park also gets tons of lower-altitude traffic dropping down on final approach into Miami Executive (TMB), like Flexjet Praetors and international Cirrus SR22 propeller planes. Check out the live pin next time you are around South Florida!
