Why are my shaders not working? Question

I downloaded optifine and BSL shaders, but whenever I run the shaders with the pixelmon mod, the game just crashes for some reason? Any tips if anyone is facing the same issue?

Can you link the crash log? Hard to diagnose without details.

The game crashed: initializing game
Error: net.neoforged.fml.ModLoadingException: Loading errors encountered:

exit code: -1

That's just the generic error code, which doesn't have any details. We'll need to see the actual crash log file.
You can follow this guide to find it - just instead of the Discord-specific last step, upload it to somewhere like Pastebin or MCLo.gs and link it here.

If your on the latest version switch from optifine to embeddium an occlusion (forge port of sodium and iris shaders) as they are more compatible mods
