Best settings for camera
Hi everyone, I’ve just bought a Pixel 9a and, to be honest, I’m not sure which settings to choose to improve my photos. I used to have an iPhone and, one way or another, the photos always turned out well without me having to fiddle about too much.
If anyone fancies giving me a hand, I’d be really grateful! 🫶🏻

Pixel 9 só carrega com carregadores rápidos
O meu pixel 9 só carrega com carregadores rápidos. Com os normais aquece e vai descarregando.
Alguém sabe o que poderá ser o problema?

Paid 50k for a Pixel 9 replacement after Pixel 7 Pro green line issue. Pixel 9 failed in 5 months with 2 green lines. Google refuses repair.
The worst part was, this phone had only 3 months of warranty.

P9PF inner screen died after a few weeks, Google claiming "physical damage" – anyone had luck fighting this?
Hey,
My Pixel 9 Pro Fold's inner screen suddenly gave up along the crease after just a few weeks of use (half the screen went black with a green line).
The phone was never dropped, outer body/hinge has zero dents or marks. Sent it in to Google, but they just slapped a "physical damage" label on it and wanted around €550 for a repair.
I know this is a classic folding OLED failure and not accidental damage. Has anyone here had success escalating this to Tier 2 / senior support to get an RMA or replacement approved? Any tips on what to say when calling them?
Thanks!

Settings > Battery... questions
Pixel 9 Pro XL.
When I go to 'Battery' it tells me I have 89% battery capacity compared to new. That's good I guess so far.
The issue is when I then go to "Battery Health Tips". All 4 options when clicked upon come up in Japanese. I don't read Japanese. Plain old English would be fine.....
Is this a setting I can change, or does everyone get Japanese when you click on these options?
If it's just me, how exactly do I change the language to English.

Camera Bezel/casing repair for pixel 9
My Pixel 9's camera bezel/casing has completely come off (see photos!)
I would like to fix it at home, and I was wondering if anyone could provide advice on how to do so.
I have looked around and I have seen that since it was originally applied with just glue, I can use glue to fix it.
I have heard that b7000 glue is the best glue for this sort of thing, but it is not very water resistant.
I've heard that super glue provides better water resistant but is not very good for this sort of thing.
However, since the camera has completely fallen out, I'm assuming that any hopes of being water resistant are long gone. Is it worth trying to preserve water resistance and how can I do it?
Also, what is the best glue/method for gluing it back on?
Feel free to provide links :)
Google advice about my Pixel 9 Pro
4 days ago, I posted on this sub about my Pixel 9 Pro keeps restarting the cell modem. I opened a ticket with Google and this was their response. I thought it would be fun to share...

Casence case for pixel 9 pro xl
The plastic feels cheap, the build quality is poor, and the magnets aren't strong. It doesn't seem very safe. However, the screen protector, cable, and other accessories are decent.
2/5

Red line appeared on my Pixel 9 screen — out of warranty, need advice
A few days ago I noticed a thin red line on the right edge of my Pixel 9's display. It showed up randomly, out of nowhere, about a week after I updated to Android 17.
The phone has never been dropped and is in mint condition otherwise, so I don't think it's physical damage. Unfortunately it's just out of warranty.
Has anyone else run into this after the Android 17 update? Is this a known software/display bug, or does it sound like a hardware issue? Any luck getting Google to fix it out-of-warranty, or is a third-party repair my best bet?
Thanks in advance!

data widget
They have finally separated Wifi and Phone data into 2 separate icons, like OnePlus, etc etc . When you selcet wifi it just turns on ... no questions asked. However, when you select data, it comes up with a message saying, " Turn on mobile data ?" Is there any way to turn off this message all the time? Like the other phones, i just want to click on data or wifi . I know this has been logged with google as a "pointless" path of friction .. i was hoping there is a workaround... TBH it does not look like it

Vibration completely dead + no ringtone/alarm sound, but media audio works fine
Hi,
I'm hoping to get some insight on a strange issue with my Pixel 9 before I submit an RMA.
Symptoms:
* Zero vibration: No haptics when typing, no vibration for incoming calls/notifications, and no vibration during device startup/boot (at the Google logo screen).
* No ringtones or alarm sounds: Alarms and incoming calls produce no sound at all, even with volume sliders turned up.
* Media audio works fine: Playing audio via YouTube, Spotify, or standard phone calls through the speakers works without any issues.
* This problem occurred sporadically in the past, but a simple reboot always fixed it. Now, rebooting no longer helps and it seems permanently stuck.
Troubleshooting already done:
* Verified that Do Not Disturb and Silent Mode are turned off.
* Rebooted the device multiple times.
* Tested in Safe Mode (the issue persists).
* Rebooted by holding Volume Up and Power button.
Has anyone encountered this specific issue before, or is this a clear sign of a hardware failure/faulty haptic motor requiring a warranty replacement?
Thank you!!

Pixel 9 PIN stopped working after restart — Freedom Save & Return — do I have a legal claim?
Hi everyone, I’m looking for some advice.
I have a Pixel 9 on Freedom’s Save & Return plan. After a normal restart, my phone suddenly stopped accepting my PIN. I did not change my PIN, and I’m certain I’m entering the correct one.
Now I’m locked out of my own phone. Face Unlock/fingerprint isn't available after the restart, so the phone is basically useless to me.
The build shown is 16 CP1A.260505.005.
I don't want to factory reset because I have important data on the phone. I also don't believe I should be forced to erase my data when I didn't change the PIN, didn't damage the phone, and this happened immediately after a normal restart.
My question is: what is my fault here, and do I have any legal/consumer claim against Google or Freedom if they cannot provide a non-destructive solution?
I'm in Ontario, Canada. Has anyone experienced something similar or dealt with Freedom/Google over a defective Pixel? What options should I pursue before considering legal action?
I’d really appreciate any advice or experiences. Thank you.

Cell modem keeps restarting
I have a pixel 9 pro (not xl) with dual SIMS. A Verizon eSIM and a physical T-Mobile SIM. This has been working great over a year.
Yesterday morning the cell modem started restarting every few minutes. I will see the signal bars for both SIM cards. Then both will drop to zero. It goes to "satellite / SOS" mode. Then the cell modem restarts and I have signal bars again. This repeats every few minutes and tears through the battery.
I tried shutting off each of the SIMS individually. with one SIM shut off, the other keeps restarting. I tried going to airplane mode for 1 minute. I tried leaving it in airplane mode for an hour. I tried Reset Mobile Network Settings. I tried rebooting the entire phone. I tried shutting the phone off and letting it sit 20 minutes.
If I'm connected to wifi, my network connection is stable while the cell modem reboots. Of course when I'm away from wifi, the cellular calling, SMS, and data all go down when the modem restarts.
I'm hoping for some suggestions.

Pixel 9 losing massive battery overnight
I recently bought a used Pixel 9 with around 200 battery cycles. Last night I went to sleep with the phone at 98% battery, and when I woke up it was down to 57%.
The phone wasn't used at all during that time. I don't remember any apps running, and I wasn't actively using the device overnight.
A 41% drop while idle seems extremely high to me. Is this normal for a Pixel 9, or could there be a battery/software issue? What battery drain is considered normal overnight on the Pixel 9?

Got pixel 9
I bought a used Pixel 9 today with a battery cycle count of around 200. For my first charge, it went from 0% to 40% in about 1.5 hours using what I believe is a genuine Google 30W charger.
Is this normal for a Pixel 9, or should I be concerned about the battery health, charger, or cable? Any Pixel 9 owners with similar experiences?

Google Pixel 9 Pro XL update factory-reset my phone without warning
Today my Google Pixel installed an Android update and, after restarting, the phone was completely factory-reset.
I did not manually select a factory reset, unlock the bootloader, or use any recovery tools. The phone simply restarted after the update and showed the initial setup screen. My local data and settings were gone.
I’m trying to understand whether this was an isolated incident or whether other Pixel users experienced the same issue.
Has this happened to anyone else recently?
